"I loved Cafe One! It's nestled in the ex mining village of Cambois, and is along the sustrans cycle route of the coast. The staff are friendly, the food is home made and a good price they also do ice creams (great for taking to the nearby beach on a hot day! I have not been here for a breakfast yet but i definitely will soon!"

"We were in the area and found this Chinese tucked away on a side street in the town-hamlet of Lynemouth less than a mile away from the seaside. Venturing in there were no menus, no online presence so can't share what dishes are available, and parking-access is a mare , it's a little pricey for a takeaway but competitive for the area, which are the only reason I have down graded it. The food itself was hot and tasty and arrived quickly. Service was excellent. So if like us you fancy a Chinese picnic with a view overlooking the sea at Druridge Bay then persevere go. You wont be disappointed."

"This is one of our favourite hosteleries for our weekly Friday lunchtime meals out in retirement. I must admit that this is in a large part due to to it serving the tastiest and best value fillet steak around, served as a Wellington, with a selection of sides included, including truffle mash (though sides are extra with other mains). Oh, and also as, though it has no real ale on hand pulls, it does a nice pint of keg Neck Oil India Pale Ale, though it is 50% overpriced at £6, as opposed to £4 elsewhere. The menu features a good range of lunch time fayre, including, as starters, a cracking prawn cocktail (though the latest version is not as good as the one before, which had a little caviar on top), haggis bon bons, Thai fish cakes, black pudding and poached egg, seafood scotch egg and garlic and rosemary Camembert. As well as the fillet, mains include Salmon Wellington, Sea Bass, curry, lasagne, corned beef pie, a massive plate of mussels and various chicken recipies, one of which my wife had. Overall then, a good value, quality, pub eatery, though be warned that it can get a tad busy and thus noisy on Friday afternoons."

"Just called in for a pint instead of just passing, looks like a popular place to eat. Stopped off on a Wednesday evening about 6ish, restaurant end maybe just over half full, on leaving it was full so if you fancy trying a meal there I would recommend booking if you're going at popular times. Beer garden to the side, good bar area and ample parking at the front."

"Considering we booked a table in advance I was disappointed to be told we had to wait as there was non available, eventually was given a table but no menu had to look around to find one. We ordered starters and main course then waited and waited until the starters appeared but NO CUTLERY I had to ask at the bar for some we then waited another age to have the dishes removed then another wait for the main course to arrive but guess what NO CUTLERY, then another wait to have the dishes removed and order some sweets after another long wait the sweets turned up and guess what NO CUTLERY once again a search for a member of staff to get some spoons. The food was good but the service!!!! Staff training seems to be lacking"
