Friendly welcome and a good choice of food. Service was timely and attentive, our waiter was a delight. Good car parking too!

The behavior of two of the staff members (the older ones) was absolutely disgusting. I will never be returning to this restaurant. If you have any complaints about your food, don't bother wasting your time. You will be lied to and made to feel like it's your fault. Ver carta

Visited this pub for the first time today for Sunday Lunch. We had the roast beef and found it to be delicious. We always eat out for Sunday lunch and this is amongst the best we have had and we will certainly be returning. The staff were very friendly and courteous.

Great stopping off place to eat en route between Wooler and Newcatle. Beautifuly cooked chicken curry and my husband ordered mince and dumplings. We ordered small meals and received very generous portions, and the chef , who should have been off duty by 3.00, p.m.stayed to serve us. Well done the staff.

We went here for a drink and food and did not stay here. We hoped to get some food, but unfortunately the kitchen was closed. After we ordered a drink, they were so sweet and made us a sandwich. It tasted very good and the beers were also great. The atmosphere was ok, but over all this was great to hang out. Ver carta

While following the GPS to our hotel, we encountered a road closure that confused it. We decided to stop at this restaurant to regroup and have some lunch. We enjoyed a delicious pea and ham soup with some chips in gravy. The simple meal was prepared perfectly. We will definitely be stopping here again on our way back home.

Our family love the Shoulder, it serves excellent food, nice menu and the staff are lovely. We have to have the potato skins to start tats become a tradition! I had a lovely gammon steak with pineapple and an egg as a moon and it was excellent, but a big portion. But when I looked at desserts and saw lemon meringue pie well I had to home some and it was really good

Called in here for first time after consulting TripAdvisor for a pub lunch whilst driving across Northumberland from Bamburgh to Otterburn. Nice clean pub with friendly service and good pub grub. We both had the 'roast of the day ' which was pork and it was presented well and tasted lovely. Was good value. The venue is dog friendly and also has a nice beer garden. Will defo return if we 're in the area and highly recommend it to others. Ver carta
