A good place to meet up with friends for a casual get together. It is handy to leave the motorway for people on longer journeys.

We really enjoyed our meal, the pub is lovely. I had a lovely pint of hsb and my friend loved her cider. The food was delicious. The service was ok, could have been slightly warmer and I dislike hearing staff talk about their illnesses

The food is very good but there are 2 regular issues: 1 the kitchen is not good at adjusting meals eg changing vegetables (after agreeing to do so) 2 the staff seem to disappear and service can be v slow. We were delayed getting and paying our bill Ver carta

once again the food was outstanding as was the service and as usual a perfect setting for a meal with family or friends.we`ve even used this establishment for mid-day meals and the results are just the same.If your looking for a place for that special occassion look no further.

We had a great table in a room all on it's own at no extra cost. The service was friendly and non intrusive. The food was all of great quality. We were surprised that a lamb sausage was served as a kids meal and thought there could have been more choices on the kids menu. Overall great food and service, thank you ! Didn't have our booking on arrival as the employee who used the on line booking process wasn't at work at that point in time. One dinner was sent to wrong table and we only found that out when we asked. We had to wait for fresh meal and when it arrived the bacon was fatty. Service very slow. This was a disappointing evening especially as it was a family treat. We won't be returning. Ver carta
