Lovely little restaurant just off the Vatican, offering a tasty buffet with a great mix of veg, carbs and protein (meat n cheese, in our case) for an excellent price.

A great little local restaurant not far from the Vatican Museum with excellent food and wine and a warm and relaxed atmosphere. My waitress spoke very good English too. Don't miss out on their home-made gnocchi!

Was actually looking for a different resto and found out I was in the wrong place after getting seated. Not impressed with the unrequested bread they charged me for. Limited choices on the menu. No draft beer. Not very busy.

Close to the Vatican. We were staying in the area and read the reviews. A great place for dinner. The clams and mussels appetizer was incredible. All our meals were plentiful and tasty. Fun atmosphere. Definitely recommend it!

We loved this quaintly decorated restaurant. We were greeted with a smile and were treated like appreciated guests. There is a nice variety on the menu and the food,including desert was delicious!! We would definitely come back!

€8 for a buffet lunch with water and coffee and bread. Amazing little place tucked near to the Vatican bit away from the main tread. Lunch was fantastic. We stuck to the veggies and the aubergine and mozerella was to die for! Relaxed service and friendly.

We fund Sistorante as we walked a side street a few blocks away from the Vatican Museums. Food is truly Italian, quite tasteful and delicate. The owner, Silvia, strives to make everyone feel as they were actually eating at her home! We certainly did, and it made our meal even more pleasant! We enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere so much that we went back for lunch a few days later, and lunch was just as great, with plenty of veggies options!!!! Wonderful Italian experience and at reasonable prices!

My wife and I dined at Sistorante several evenings in our week in Rome. We also had two lunches there. I had two steaks, one in pepper sauce and one with a cheese sauce. Both were delicious, juicy and tender. Lunches were a buffet of fine Italian dishes, all tasty and delightful. Sistorante sells very pleasant red and white wines by the carafe, far nicer than house wine in England. The other aspect of Sistorante that I wish to praise is the ambiance the people are friendly and helpful; the people and meals together making memorable evenings.

My husband and I ate here most days during our week in Rome due to the quality of food, wine and service in a very pleasant setting. The restaurant is family owned and run by Sara, her sister and father and the food is wonderful authentic Italian cuisine. The restaurant is located very close to The Vatican. There was lots of choice on the menu and each time we visited the service was really pleasant and efficient. From the menu the steaks were gorgeous really well cooked and delicious; as was the veal escalopes, and beef in a Gorgonzola sauce.
