First time ordering from here tonight absolutely gorgeous food just a shame it arrived 20 minutes late and was cold.....

We ordered a meal through Just Eat and were very impressed with Sonali Balti. The food arrived at the time we requested. The onion bhaji for starters were a little bit dry but other than that the food was very good.

Chicken madrass gave me food poisoning,3 days of projectile vomiting over Christmas ! Please do not attempt to eat from this place ! This is what a £8 madrass looks like with extra chicken before it gives you salmonella . (See picture) Ver carta

Friendly helpful staff who provided us with a delicious takeaway and spoons to eat it with! Huge variety on the menu and the rogan Josh and balti that we chose were really tasty. Would definitely order from here again if we were in the area.

Food not to great, quite plain if im honest especially for the price I was charged). The service was very poor no contact just food past over and card machine handed over the counter. I was SHOCKED to see the price of the food but I was in a rush and just paid and left . I will NEVER go there again , not even if I win the lottery.

My family recommended this restaurant to me and I was not disappointed at all. The portions were very generous and the food had an authentic taste. The delivery was quite slow, especially on a busy Friday night, and arrived 50 minutes late. Despite the delay, the food was definitely worth the wait. However, it would be helpful if they could communicate any issues with the delivery beforehand. Ver carta

The service and takeout from this restaurant was absolutely awful. We waited for over 3 hours for our food to arrive. We tried calling the restaurant over 100 times and couldn't get through once. When the driver finally arrived, he didn't apologize or explain the delay. To make matters worse, when we finally got to eat our curry, most of it was cold and seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. We will never order from this restaurant again.

I have been getting curry from Sonali for years, and while I know it's not at the level of Bombay Palace or Delhi 76 (and the price reflects that), I have always considered it a decent option with good value. However, my most recent curry was disappointing - the sauce lacked flavor and the portion of lamb was small and thinly sliced to give the illusion of more meat. I will be exploring other restaurants for a while to pay a bit more for better quality.

I hadn’t had a take away from Sonali for about 20yrs because I moved out of the area. However I’m back now I really fancied a curry tonight so went on line to find a take away that not only delivered but that I could also order and pay for online and Sonali Balti was the only local one that I could find. Delivery was stated as 60mins which was a bit disappointing as I was so hungry but I went ahead and ordered anyway. To my delight it was delivered 30mins later by a very polite young man. The food was piping hot and much more than I could manage, including complimentary poppadoms, so I have plenty left for another meal or two.
