Standard Balti House

Very nice people, great service, fantastic food. I would definitely recommend Standard Balti House to anyone coming to the area!

one of the numerous Balti houses on brick lane. the famous set menu here was for 7.99 and quite good on the quality front if not quantity. the veg jalfrezi was spicy enough for me: the naan, the Samosa star was also ok.

The restaurant is wonderful, with excellent service and decent food. I went there with friends to celebrate a birthday, and they had a great table reserved for us with attentive waiters. The food was alright, although not exceptional. Despite being a busy night, we didn't have to wait too long for our meals. Ver carta

I sat to this place for dinner. good that I caught king fishermen. overall eating in order was not very large, but my overall experience was not good as I felt that I get a very inferior recipe from the restaurant. I saw them say thanks and polite to other people while may be because I was the only Asian there was the treatment was very boring with me.

I visited the restaurant to search for a vegetarian meal. naan was quite normal and nothing special. but I like the cheese spinat as it is quite soft and good. raita was quite simple and has not even salt in it. above all an average restaurant that can offer cheap meal. they have 20% discount on the food that is good. I do not recommend it for a special occasion.

brick lane – a mekka for curry houses. as they make their way from one end to another, there is no lack of smiling faces that promise their attention with the best deal, the best curry, family owners restaurants, authentic dishes and more. it's hard to make the call for the right one. I usually go for those who require the least selling effort and with blooming on seats, as there is nothing more than an empty restaurant. Ver carta

I love curry and this is the BEST along Brick Lane and Central London. I've lived worked in London for 10+ years' and tried many curry houses. I previously sampled 20 along Brick Lane before visiting the Standard, since then I have always returned. Last night, again, the food and service is outstanding my 8th visit!! All the other businesses need to fight it out along the strip for customers business these guys don't need operate this way. They are a real mark of quality food, service and expertise delivering a great indian experience to all that enter its doors. Well done and thank you again for a great evening last night.

When I walk down Brick Lane I like to play a game called how many harassers? The object of the game is to make a bet with your Brick Lane travel companion on how many restaurant staff members are going to disrupt you with their attempts to entice you into their restaurants with crazy offers such as you buy one curry and you get poppadoms, onion bhajis, naan breads, beers, and their wife and keys for the hour absolutely free. Our first visit to a curry restaurant on Brick Lane was very enjoyable. We arrived at 10pm and found the restaurant starting to quiet down after a busy evening. We were warmly welcomed and received excellent service throughout our meal. The staff were attentive, professional, and friendly. Our drinks arrived quickly, including a refreshing cold draught of Kingfisher beer. We started with classic dishes of Onion Bhajias and Prawn on Puri, followed by main courses of Chicken Tikka and Chicken Tikka Dhansak.
