Stonehouse Pizza Carvery Upper Boat Inn

I ordered “the works” carvery, and it came with an enormous portion—definitely too much food, but that’s my fault. Overall, it was really delicious!

This restaurant has a wonderfully warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making you feel right at home. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious.

First time having lunch at this pub and didn't disappoint at all. Carvery was great value for money and was absolutely stunning, even way better than toby cavery! Will definitely be returning. Ver carta

Wow, where has this carvery been all my life. Nice pub in a really good location in-between Caerphilly and Cardiff with ample parking. Carvery was one if the best I've had and the large didn't disappoint.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was very nice, and reasonably priced. All meat at the carvery looked delicious, went for beef and gammon and was not disappointed!! Plenty of trimmings. Would definitely come back again (and will).

I came this evening for a meal with my family and Ben served us from the bar. He was very friendly, good customer service skills and was quick in taking our order. I also noticed he was brilliant with the other customers also. Will definitely return!! Ver carta

The food is delicious. However, the restaurant was uncomfortably hot, which made us eager to finish our meals and leave. I was also disappointed that no one could get our One4all voucher to work. The first person who served us mentioned they had been experiencing issues with them lately. We have successfully used the same card at another Stonehouse location, and there is definitely enough balance on it.

Called in again, and had the bacon cheeseburger, this time. It was fantastic. My wife had the pizza made to order not frozen. On my last visit, I had the carvery, it was good value and tasty, but the best part of the set meal was the dessert, had the sweet Belgian waffle, which was delicious cannot recommend this highly enough the dessert was just £1.99 extra but I would have paid £6 or £7 for just that. Great place for food at a reasonable price.

Visited for breakfast this morning. Staff were lovely,very helpful and chatty as soon as we got through the door. We had a full cooked breakfast, good choice of fried bread, bacon, sausage, beans, tinned tomatoes (a favourite of mine), hash browns, black pudding and eggs, plus bread to make toast so it's fresh. It was self service and you can have as much or as little as you like. It was hot and perfectly cooked. As our plates were cleared away, we were invited to go back and help ourselves to more if we wanted it. Really good value. I look forward to going back soon. Ver carta
