Stovell's - Carta

I had a wonderful dining, drinking, and entertainment experience at Stovells this week.

A fantastic dining experience. The menu is exceptional, and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and discreet.

We did the tasting menu and this was excellent! The service was also amazing, though the whole meal took over 3 hours and we wish we had asked them to speed it up a little sooner which they happily accommodated. Ver carta

Arrived for lunch, attentive but discreet service. The lobster tails to start were excellent followed by beef which was well sourced for flavour and cooked as requested. Other option chosen was rabbit which apparently was delicious.

What a lovely evening! I booked Stovells for my husband’s 40th and from start to finish the service, food, drinks and atmosphere was wonderful. We were given advice on our food and wine choices and it certainly didn’t disappoint. We will be back! Thank you for such an incredible evening and experience. :

This was Stovells' first lunch after a long break. The menu did not reflect what was available: no venison, no fresh fish. This made the choice very restricted. We chose the chateaubriand which was tough and over-priced. We should have stuck with the roast beef, since we would not have had to pay extra for the vegetables. Carlos was the only reason we didn’t walk out. We entered with no welcome stood at the bar for 10/15 min advised to sit at our table as staff was low (which was fine) were served 20 min after sitting down (just water) although we weren’t in a rush this was a bit of a joke. Overall I won’t put the restaurant down as current climate everyone is trying but I won’t rush back.

The service and wecome was warm and pleasant.. The ambience and open fire qas welcoming. The cocktail was nice. The starters were good. The mains were really disappointing. The chateaubriand was poor@ we have had better from Cote at home. The veg was dire, lettice with a butter topping the chips were no better than Mccain. Despite feedback the full bill was paid inc a service charge of £47 for 3 people. I will not be going back. Overpriced. Local pubs have the same seevice and much better food. London House was 10 times better. Very disappointed

stovells chobham surrey it is a hidden gem of this place with its South American influenced French theme menu. home made stovells gin is the series of the day my ex-college girl has made, now excellent chef fernando, and younger has come far. he will be on Saturday's kitchen this week with chef james martin, probably talking about the Mexican and Argentine punsch he put into his eating. the settings are more homely, but this is chobham for them a real quantendorf that is fucked somewhere in deep surrey. the entrance was greeted by a warm open fire from dried of wood and a cocktail or two. low ceilings, but the beams make them feel like they could go into a very lush pub! amuse bouche was a b...
