"I visited here recently with friends, I had my two young babies with me and have found the staff to be quite rude, an older lady working there in particular. I wasn’t greeted with a smile or made to feel welcome, the lady serving me was quite abrupt, my baby was teething on this occasion and noticed I was being glared at and made to feel like my baby was making a scene. When asked if we could use two of the high chairs, the member of staff snapped that we couldn’t block the area we were sitting at I was made to feel like an inconvenience as I had my pram also with me. The drinks were slapped down and were also cold. In other cafe shops I have been to, staff have bent over backwards to help and have been very friendly and understanding towards new mothers as a new mother with her hands full I was left to feel very anxious and embarrassed and that my custom wasn’t valued. It’s not my first visit or the first time I have noticed the staff to be rude but was prepared to give it the benefit of doubt. My mother in law had since mentioned that she found staff to be rude when she visited some time ago. Unfortunately I won’t be visiting again"

"What an establishment. This culinary journey was booked as a celebration towards a love of food. Nestled in the centre of the Fargo Village, with the ambiance of the jazz night going on over in the next building, my girlfriend and I had such an incredible dining experience. The food was sublime, and the social layout of the dining table really brought everyone together. With Tony and his partner cooking just behind us, discussing his history of chef experience throughout many prestigious kitchens, life stories, and beautifully presented meals, I'd encourage everyone to visit GFK. Great for first dates, anniversaries, lucky treats, and not to mention lunch even being available for people working in the area. "Went to the recent reopening as a long-time fan of The Pod. The food is always different, and always inspired. Service is genuinely warm, as the pricing is humble and inclusive. The restrictions for COVID were very clear and easy to follow, and we felt very at ease during the lunch. The Menu is carefully selected, guided by dieticians, and for Vegan food out, hands down the best balanced meal one can get in Coventry, possibly even the Midlands, in my experience. There's no judgement or vegan propaganda whatsoever, and carnivores, pescatarians etc will not feel shortchanged in the slightest by the offerings. The Pod as an establishment is also a great hub for creatives and creative-thinkers, with echoes of cultural flourishings such as Time Union, Food Union, Supper Clubs, and other events. It remains welcoming to newcomers and tourists, and the serving system is relaxed and straight-forward with options for Gluten Free and clear indications for Nut Allergies. I would highly recommend anyone eating out in Coventry to try The Pod at least once!"

"I came for lunch with a friend and our children. I was surprised I had never been before. It is such a lovely place, with a wonderful atmosphere, attentive staff and fantastic food.
