Taberna Nuevos Alcazares

Popped in for a few glasses of wine, the owner gave us so many free tapas it was almost a meal. Very clean and tidy, service with a smile.

Small quiet and cosy bar with decent Spanish food. We ordered the ham croquettes and chicken blood (which was actually quite nice). owner of bar is friendly and spoke some English.

eating was amazing. the host was attentive and generous. we wanted to round the bill, but the host didn't leave us. we are coming back in a definitiw. Thank you. highly recommended.

Excellent service. The owner and his wife (the chef) gave us excellent service. The food was excellent. My family and I got to taste all sorts of different Spanish food. Nota 10+ I recommend this experience to anyone traveling or living in Córdoba

Disfrutamos de las especialidades locales, especialmente el salmorejo (muy sabroso, solo para amantes del ajo). A uno de nosotros le encantó la cola de buey, tan buena como la hacía su madre, que creció en una granja. Merece la pena, no es para turistas despreocupados.

Tuve un bocado rápido aquí. En realidad, fue bacalao frito. El bacalao vino envuelto en una fina masa y estaba perfectamente frito. Desde que me senté allí, el lugar estaba lleno de clientes locales habituales, por lo que obviamente tienen buena reputación. Están a solo 100 metros de las tabernas llenas detrás de las murallas. ¡Volveré allí!

Friendly service. Food is traditional Spanish. They sent a waitor out who had good command of English as soon as we came in. Food was good, but one interesting thing (a translation error ? was that their tomato soup was actually a cold tomato...dip. Oh well. Some vegetarian options but only one vegan (the romaine hearts with garlic&onion). Lovely experience, would go again.

This café is at the side street, about 5-10 minutes walking distance to Mosque-Cathedral and/or Roman Bridge. A typical Spanish cuisine restaurant, when we arrived there for lunch on a weekday, the place was unexpectedly crowded, fully packed with local customers. We ordered the signature...dish – stewed oxtail. It was crazy tasty, and turned out to be probably the best we had in Spain.

After walking about the Jewish quarter and visiting the beautiful Patios of Córdoba we, wife and I, found this place a bit out of the tourist area. They were just setting up the outdoor tables about 12:30 and a few locals were already having their...beer. We were sat down by an extremely friendly waiter and given menus, which had English subtitles. Ordered 2 beers, and 3 tapas: Spanish potato salad, fried anchovies and fried chicken in honey mustard sauce. Beer was cold and fresh, food came along fast, and was great in quality and quantity. Highly recommended.
