"What a brilliant restaurant this is. We arrived early on one of those warm nights and had time to sit outside ordering drinks within a wonderfully decked out patio. We found all of the staff here were so friendly and welcoming and we were looked after by Rosie who was wonderful, bringing out our drinks and the menu allowing us to relax and check out the great selection of food on offer. We totally enjoyed our meal set inside the restaurant within a cosy atmosphere. At the end of the night we passed on our compliments to the chef, who clearly has pride in their work and full credit to Rosie for looking after us so well. We agreed that we just had to make sure that we gave the Crab and Cow and their team a review that was so rightly deserved. Rest assured we will be back, very soon. Andy Wendy."

"My wife, four family members and I recently dined at this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. This was only our third visit in the twenty-six years we have lived in the area, and each time has been underwhelming. The service was lacking from the moment we arrived, with no menus provided and a long wait for our meals to all come out at the same time. The young wait staff seemed untrained and oblivious to our needs. The food quality was average at best, and the prices were high considering the poor service. Overall, I do not recommend dining at this establishment unless major improvements are made."

"Visited for lunch after doing some ancestry at St Botolphs Church. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. We had scampi, skin on fries, peas and tartare sauce. We sat outside because we had our dog with us. Dogs not allowed inside but we were offered water for her and she was made to feel welcome too. It's so very clean and tidy and some of it is undercover, which is handy because there was an utter downpour whilst we were there. It looks like it's been recently slabbed and was a really nice place to sit and eat. If we visit Stoke Albany again, will definitely return. Thankyou"

"Popped in for a quick breakfast, though enjoyable don't feel that we got the best from our visit as we were not feeling 100% and struggled to eat it, we did have a little wait but nothing serious, on this occasion we didn't really enjoy the experience but as mentioned not at our best but have visited for breakfast a number of times and it was excellent, the fact we have visited numerous times would be a better gauge of the quality and service than this visit when we were a tad under the weather"

"We came for Mother’s Day. The meal options were listed online but unfortunately when we arrived and finally sat at our table the menu had changed. Myself and my 2 children both under 12 decided just to have the vegetables, potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. As we did not have any meat and the vegetarian option wasn’t the best I asked if we could have an extra Yorkshire pudding. When the bill came I had been charged £14 per meal, that included 1 Yorkshire pudding, 2 carrots, 2 parsnips and roast potatoes. The extras were broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower cheese. I pinched some of my sisters as I didn’t have any of my own.. They also charged me £1 extra for each Yorkshire pudding! So for myself and my 2 young children I paid £45!!!! We had waited an hour and a half for the dinner. Which as it was Mother’s Day was understandable. So when I received the bill I just wanted to pay and get gone! 1 of my daughters has a medical condition, they also forgot her dinner so while we all had hers she didn’t.. she was restless and I just wanted to leave. I am leaving this review so everyone can check the bill correctly before you leave! I cannot believe I was charged £45 when I was the only adult and they had charged my 2 children as an adult price. The food itself was lovely I will say. But it would have been a lot cheaper for me to buy the ingredients and cook the dinner myself and still have money left over. Very disappointing."
