This review is for the recent pop up for Tata Eatery that was upstairs of the Newman Arms, serving a creative and inspiring twist to Japanese and oriental

Amazing food, beautifully presented, a lovely calm meal with lots of surprises. Would recommend. Wine bottles a bit pricey but the fizzy wine in a tin was a nice fun alternative.

Love love this place. Interesting menu and reasonably priced. Loved the octopus starter and the rice bowls. Staff were extra nice, replacing our watermelon juice which was thrown on the floor by our demon baby. Ver carta

This was my second visit to this restaurant. I would definitely return just for the mushroom bowl rice - it is absolutely delicious! I appreciate the use of a daytime cafe space, as it feels both cost-effective and clever.

The food is next level delicious. Each dish was beautifully thought out and put together. Really enjoyable experience. I went with a friend and we both agreed it was one of the most interesting and tasty dining experiences we'd had in a while. Thoroughly recommend.

A great find on Kingsland Road, very close to Haggerston station. The OpenTable reviews of the food were very positive...and with good reason we loved everything we ordered! A small menu but packed full of flavour and exciting combinations. The desserts were to die for! Plus, the service was great. Will definitely be going back. Ver carta

The restaurant offers beautiful and unique dishes paired with a great wine selection. My partner and I visited for his 40th birthday dinner. While the portion sizes were slightly small for the price, the service and food quality were excellent. The only downside was the noise from a nearby loud party, making it difficult to have a conversation during dinner.

Been vying to go to Tata for awhile and it did not disappoint!! The dishes were well presented and tasted phenomenal. Highlights were the prawn tartare, the mushroom rice bowl and both the ice cream desserts- rice cream and coffee cream. My only gripe is that the dishes are a little small and I wanted MORE but i guess this just means I have to go back again.

my gass and I really enjoyed the meal. eating was delicious when not plentiful and the service and the ambiente were delightful. an evening full of joy. I would have preferred it personally if the music were calmer. I should say that I think that the conversation as they eat is a very important part of the pleasure of a meal and it is not helped by the competition with music, but beautifully. Ver carta
