"My boyfriend and I visited Rome and wanted to spend a day in Fregene Beach. Getting there was a hassle but we made it and we’re starving. We decided to eat dinner at Taverna Paradiso. The restaurant was buzzing with people eating outdoors, music made a cool vibe. When we walked in, all eyes on us. As we asked the host for dinner for two she immediately said there’s no room for dinner with an attitude (there were plenty of tables) and that food is not being served, although other people were coming in to be seated and waiters are whirling around serving food. This tidbit shouldn’t matter but in this case it does we’re Black Americans and no one in that restaurant resembled us or any minority groups. I knew she did not want to serve us for the fact we were “different” whether our race, assuming we aren’t wealthy (the town is supposedly upper class) or because we’re not familiar. So without any debate we left. As we walked out a male host seemed confused and told us to come back. At this point we are really hungry and also lost (the local bus to the train doesn’t run after a certain time and we are stuck). We decided to come back and eat. As we sit I notice the female host and male host arguing. No one comes to serve us and once again all eyes on us which was very uncomfortable. Time passes and we have no menu no table setting, we get up and leave. As we leave we look for a way to the train. Thank goodness for a English speaking group of patrons who noticed us having a hard time. They offered to take us to the train station but we had to sit in this very restaurant and wait for them! We eventually sat down again and ate. Our order was incorrect, but at this point we didn’t care and just wanted to leave. All in all we had a terrible experience here. We felt like an animal in a zoo, the excessive staring almost felt like finger pointing and the fact they did not want to serve us was actually sad. Taverna Paradiso is not a welcoming restaurant. Also there’s nothing fancy or upscale about this corner street beach cafe for such a posh attitude, I go to fancier spots on a regular Monday night."

Abbiamo cenato in questo locale in settimana e in bassa stagione. Servizio cortese e veloce. Il cibo è molto buono. Pesce fresco e saporito. Abbiamo preso un antipasto e un primo. Rapporto qualità-prezzo onesto.

lo consiglio per vari motivi, Il cibo è ottimo, ogni giorno hanno un piatto nuovo. Sono cordiali, attenti a soddisfare il cliente in qualsiasi richiesta. E gli aperitivi? indescrivibile...... Insomma che aspettate! vi rimane solo di provare! Ver carta

We went to this restaurant two nights in a row and both times were great. Excellent pizza, and the best fried calamari I’ve eaten in years! Very friendly staff, fast service, clean and definitely worth going! I would probably go there often if I lived nearby.

Accoglienza, servizio, cortesia e una bella location.... Non me l'aspettavo a Fregene d'inverno infrasettimanale. Un bel locale una DISTESA di vini e cocktail da far invidia alla riviera romagnola. Bella l'esposizione dei prodotti all'entrata, bella la presentazione dei cocktail e la COLLEZIONE dei vini. Prezzi giusti note negative non ne ho trovate Si 5 stelle meritate

Che dire. aperitivo con un cocktail meraviglioso (mojito al frutto della passione,) antipasti creativi, prodotti ben realizzati e eccezionali (crocio e cotto,) ottimi ravioli! le ragazze in camera sono gentili e professionali, così come il personale tutto! Il conto. E' importante? Ho trascorso una bella e deliziosa serata in grande compagnia senza ma e senza se! fortemente consigliato! Tornerò con i miei cari, sicuro di fare una bella figura! Bene! atmosfera calda e accogliente. il menu offre una vasta scelta di piatti e pizze, tutto molto buono. Inizio sempre con una focaccia, delicata e croccante. Ho notato che la qualità è sempre crescente, segno di grande attenzione e cura dalla proprietà. Il punto forte? il personale, estremamente cortese e attento a ogni esigenza, impeccabile, si respira un'aria davvero piacevole nella taverna. deliziosi dessert, da semplice a elaborato. We liked the look of 'Taberna Paradiso ' amongst a row of restaurants. It was busy and atmospheric. The service was very good and who appeared to be the owner went out of his way to find a dry, pale rose wine that we were looking for. We had eaten at lunch time so wanted something simple so opted to share a Four Cheese Pizza and a bowl of salad. What a good choice, it was perfect. The pizza was delicious with a very thin base and reminded us of a pizza we had once eaten along the canals of Venice this was equally memorable on the pizza front.
