bongole pasta and a glass wein was so good! fried seafood platter was also really good! tiramisu and espresso for dessert was amazing. so full, but all I recommend this place

Quantity is a lot. Not really expensive compared to other restaurants. Wine is good. But food, maybe i expected a bit much. Potatoes was good, vongole was good, dessert was good.

Wow absolutely outstanding we both had pizza’s one Margherita and one gamberi The prawns were plentiful, plump and so tasty the sauces were excellent. They are huge but amazing. Highly recommend visiting The staff were excellent so helpful and friendly

Our hotel suggested this restaurant and we were very happy about the suggestion. Excellent simple local food, friendly service, nice wines. We had fish soup and octopus. Both dishes were delicious. Tried the local red wine by the glass. We very much enjoyed our evening.

We have been here several times over the years and found it to be OK. Sadly on our recent visit our we waited for ages for our order, others arriving after us being served before us, Clearly ou order had been lost , the situation was handled very badly with no apology and a very huffy waitress. Very disappointing

While living in Venice in the summer of 2001 I ate at the Taverna probably 5 or 6 times. It was our favorite place in Venice. I was excited to go back after 23 years and visit an old stomping ground. The food is still good, not great, and the restaurant was lacking some of the ambiance it used to have. The menu seemed a lot more limited than I remembered as well. With that said, it’s still worth a visit if you are in Venice.

This is a good place to stop in a pinch. We had a good experience, but I wouldn 't hunt for it. We got the main course of fried calamari, shrimp and clams to start and that was a good choice! The chef recommended tagliatelle with mushroom...for being in the top choice list I thought it was okay, not great. More bland than flavorful. We also ordered the fried pork chop and fries very good. Toilet was okay not normal for US women standard and very cold!!!

We came here on the recommendation of our hotel. We arrived a little late for dinner so we had a short wait for a table. The service was pretty good except our waiter wasn't very friendly. But it was fine he wasn't rude or anything. I had the Spaghetti alla Vongoli and my husband ordered what the waiter said was a typical Venetian pasta with anchovies. He told my husband that the dish is a little salty but he ordered it anyway because he wanted to try anchovies. I've had anchovies on a pizza and also with a Ceasar salad. I'm not a big fan. A little goes a long way. Well as I expected, my husband wasn't loving his choice. He tried adding some olive oil and eating some bread with it but didn't...

Food was good but service was just ok. Nobody was obnoxiously rude but they definitely didn't seem happy with any customers (at least not tourists). We asked for more bread and they told us we couldn't have any until after the meals were served... um, ok...? The lady who brought us our last two plates of food was obviously very annoyed that we couldn't understand what she was saying (even huffed before repeating what the names of the dishes were).
