"A place where we go with friends when we are around Fribourg. Always very good, the meat platter is composed of beef, horse, pork, chicken as well as bacon and pineapple. The fries are also good, seasoned with paprika. The specialty is the hat (as in the photo), otherwise you have the choice of other dishes, such as bourguignonne. As a starter you will have the choice with a salad buffet, and for dessert, I recommend the double cream and its meringues (fresh double cream like you will never have tasted). Everyone is nice. I recommend."

Le personnel fixe et extra est toujours aimable, serviable et efficace. Pour des banquets divers (anniversaires, mariages, soirées d'entreprises, etc...) une belle carte de proposition s'offre à vous. La qualité des produits est au rendez-vous. Une belle équipe de cuisine travaille avec précision et passion. La décoration des tables est soigné. La Croix-Blanche à Treyvaux a une personnalité la grande salle est en bois et la décoration représente le Canton de Fribourg. Merci beaucoup pour votre accueil depuis des années sans failles."

"Read to the end! Excellent restaurant! The tartare is delicious and the way they prepare it is just brilliant!! The waiters and waitresses are very very friendly. And the cream chocolates with the coffee, what a delight... The setting is magnificent: by the lake and the forest. I highly recommend Well, well... Given my fabulous first experience at Unique, I wanted to come back with a friend but this time it wasn't so fabulous... We arrived around 6:15 p.m. on a Monday evening and we were told that it was full even though there were 3 tables occupied on the terrace. At first we thought it was a joke, but unfortunately no. I will not return and I will no longer recommend! It's a shame because I really enjoyed it the first time. But refusing to take customers when there are only 3 tables occupied and 1 reserved is scandalous. Especially when you drive almost 40 minutes to get there…"

"Pas eu l 'occasion d 'y manger car chaque fois c 'était complet, pour la chasse, qui est paraît il excellente, nous attendons de manger la fondue avec impatience. Ils ont toujours des idées originales pour des concerts dans la salle en face, leur terrasse est superbe et 2 télécabines chauffés servent à partager une fondue à l 'extérieur. "I am so sad to say that the quality of the service was really poor at this restaurant. I would certainly have given the best overall rating if the service had been good... We weren 't even asked whether we wanted something else to drink than wine, and all the unused utensils and glasses were left on the table for the entire meal, amongst other things... But the restaurant was packed, it was the day before Valentine 's day, so I would say that the service must be better on other days when they have less people for dinner. Apart from the service, the food was EXCELLENT, and the table extremely beautifully arranged with rosepetals and beautiful decorations (see photos . We took steak sur ardoise (see photos which was the menu of the day. There was a salad buffet which was quite tasty as well (considering that generally the cucumbers/tomatos etc. are not really good in Switzerland in winter time . For dessert, I was expecting something bigger since on the menu it was written that we would have a chocolate fondant, but actually it was a tiny little thing (see photos . The dessert was really good nevertheless, and really, after all that we had eaten for the main course, I was also quite happy to have only something small for the dessert... Overall, all the menu was tasty and beautifully arrayed. Hence, in spite of the poor quality of service, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat well in a nice Swiss atmosphere. : You should really try the steak sur ardoise (filet de boeuf , it was delicious so tender (the restaurant is known for their meals sur ardoise !"
