Temperance - Menú

Unpretentious cafe with good vegan food and lovely staff. Our lunches took a while so they gave us some cake for afters. Looking forward to visiting again.

Great selection of cakes and food available, just a shame it's not fully vegan. We ordered the vegan full English and it was big enough to share with coffees and a cake

The vegan breakfast was excellent.Interesting vegan cakes. Set in a lovely old building with a good atmosphere and decor. Ten minutes walk from Morrisons free parking 2 1/2 hrs).

There is a large full vegan menu. The food was delicious and there were vegan cakes available. Our table doubled as a chessboard and chess pieces were provided, which was a nice note.

Great little find, super cozy atmosphere with mismatched furniture and carpet. The food was nice, we tried the falafel sandwich, the sourdough toastie and the curry. Portions were pretty big (the curry came with both rice and two toasted flatbreads). Curry was a bit bland, but other than that everything was really tasty.

The manager is so terrible and rude. He makes you feel insecure. The man will scream and get to the face if you buy a member of your group nothing, even though the rest does. It looked like he wanted to start a fight. WORST ALL: Don't let the hippie vibe seduce. You're just taking care of your money. They are capitalist Grubbies.

We diverted off the motorway to visit Temperance for lunch while driving from Southampton to Liverpool. This is literally the only vegan café in town so imagine our disappointment when we were told that the kitchen was closed and that they were only serving drinks cakes. It seems that this has happened a lot recently due to staffing issues. They need to get this sorted urgently!

We went to this restaurant on a Sunday morning. They had a vegan brunch menu and a variety of cakes to choose from. We all decided to try the beans and avocado on toast, which was enjoyed by both vegans and omnivores. The meal was presented beautifully with some side salads. The cafe had a friendly atmosphere with nice decor and original art on display. However, we were all a bit chilly during our meal. The beans and toast cooled down quickly, possibly due to the cafe being cold or because they were served on top of the cold avocado. Overall, it was a good experience and the cakes looked delicious, with several vegan options available.

This is a really lovely cafe with friendly staff and a great community feel. The daytime menu is predominantly vegan and has a great selection of paninis and sandwiches. The quiche although it was listed on the vegan menu was served from the counter and not the kitchen had goats cheese. The cakes were a mix of vegan and veggie. We had the 'steak ' and cheese philly panini, blackberry and apple cake and chocolate oreo cake which was all delicious. There is a good selection of teas and the hot chocolate was nice. Apparently in the evening the kitchen is used as a pop up and so the food could be anything. We will definitely return. Updated from previous review on 2022-03-09
