"Utterly depressing. I've been a few times, the last time being a few years ago and I couldn't remember why I'd not been in so long. My recent visit reminded me of why and after seeing they have not made any improvement in that time, I have no intention of going back again! The service in this place is abhorrent! Even during particularly quiet times (we went at 3pm! The customer service is non-existent. Our server put in the bare minimum. She basically just took our order (after we'd waited 20 minutes or so and delivered half of it (we had to ask twice for the other half and we were left for the duration of our visit without actively being attended to, and even when we were, this was only a result of us flagging down our server... not as a result of our server offering so much as the basic level of customer service. This includes being sat at a table for half an hour with our used plates not being removed, no offer for more drinks or dessert (which we had every intention of ordering before being so infuriated with the lack of service that we gave up on that! and no suggestion at bringing the bill. For a place to charge such an absurd amount for food, diners expect a certain level of customer service which this establishment fails to provide. They should either lower their prices or drastically improve the service because at the moment diners are not getting the service they're paying for! I'd be amazed if people aren't constantly getting up and leaving without paying after waiting 30 minutes for so much as a glimpse of their server!"

Gets 1 star because staff were very good. As for the rest... Place was very cold. Food over priced eg £14.80 for a salad food itself was poor quality. Bland beer £6.80 a pint !and not priced on the menu so you did not know how overpriced it was. Garlic bread was rock hard. Fries came loaded with salt. Will not recommend and will never go again.

The Waitress was polite,friendly and chatty, which I loved. She gave us plenty of time to order and the food was perfect. We visited Thursday 4th January 2024. The place was freezing and all diners sat with coats on. Asked if heating was on and staff said it was hot. I suggested they looked at all the customers with coats on. Nothing done. The food was very overpriced and images in menu certainly didn't match the food images in menu. Sadly not the experience we were expecting. Slow service to start of with, got worse after waiting for our food for over an hour we were told someone 'bumped ' it of the system. Yes we got offered free starters that we didn 't really wanted. Food took another half an hour and to top it off the manager never came over to offer his apologies, had to hunt down a waiter to pay the bill. Will noy be returning. Service: Dine in

"couldnt resist, been shopping in Hanley area, nip down into Shelton to test out the report on Hawasana; we walked into a lovely friendly environment where the food on other tables was like a magical feast. We went for the mixed kebab starter which set the scene superbly, not a small portion and well worth the wait to be cooked fresh. The jewel in the crown for us was the Lamb Karahi, it takes 45 minutes to get the blend of spices cooked off and is served with a salad and a naan that took up nearly half of the double table well worth the wait. The Lamb, still on the bone where it hadnt dropped off was so succulent to be delish and so well cooked, my wife couldnt resist dipping the naan back into the sauce until she could eat no more. The naan was probably the best I have tasted around the world but come back to the Karahi which reminded me of a Gurkha Baht, bone in and albeit generally goat. We did some damage to that, swilled down with a couple of cans of chilled lemonade and fruity drink. Well worth a visit, great value and we cant wait to go back."

"Decided to try The Slamwich Club after hearing good reviews from friends and families who had been and liking the look of the Festive Menu. Absolutely blown away by the quality of the food, the friendly and attentive staff and the set up of the restaurant. We had the Brisket and Stout and Spice Up Ya Christmas with a side of Ho Ho Ho Hogs. We split the sandwiches half and half and loved both but the Spice Up Ya Christmas Sandwich we both agreed was something special! The gravy was incredible too. A welcome suprise was the value! Considering we had beers, two mains, a side and a coffee afterwards it was cheaper than getting a couple of cocktails each at the venue we went to afterwards! Will definitely return, and will definitely be recommending to all our Friends and Family."

"We decided to try Monsoon after hearing so many positive reviews, and it certainly lives up to the praise in every way. The ambiance is warm and inviting, striking a perfect balance between vibrant and intimate. The service was impeccable; the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. However, the star of the evening was the food. Having dined at numerous curry restaurants, we can confidently say that Monsoon is now our favorite. The flavors were exceptional, and everything was served hot, with all dishes arriving at the same time. We highly recommend Monsoon—it truly is a magnificent dining experience. Though we’re from Essex, we can’t wait to return for another meal soon. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful culinary experience! "My partner and I decided to have Easter Sunday lunch at The Masons and we were very pleased with our choice. We both ordered the lamb shank, which was incredibly tasty, especially when paired with the delicious vegetables, particularly the roast vegetables. As first-time parents, we were a bit anxious about bringing our baby to a restaurant, but our worries were quickly put to rest. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly, making a fuss over our little one which won us over. We have already recommended The Masons to our family and friends and we plan on returning soon. It was a lovely Easter afternoon overall."
