Thai Emerald - Carta

We went on the Sunday evening of bank holiday. Tasty food, great service and well priced. Would highly recommend this restaurant

The flavours were out of this world. The best Thai I have ever had. Very authentic restaurant. Service was brilliant. Would go back in a heart beat! Only got a picture of the starter.

From the lavish wood carvings that cover every surface to the fantastic food, dining at the Thai Emerald was a memorable experience. Plus the service was very efficient and courteous. Probably the best Thai restaurant I have ever been to. Ver carta

Not impressed, food we ordered was so oily we had to use a tissue paper to get rid of the oil, curries we ordered- looked like vegetables were just thrown into them, curry was ok to be honest Ambience was good but the waiters looked tired and exhausted and don’t think they understood English well Naah

Well presented and authentic restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and had efficient service throughout. Good wine (Sauvignon blanc). We were spoiled for choice with what we wanted to order but settled on duck and shiitake mushroom spring rolls and honey sesame prawns to start; both delicious. We had beef Penang, sweet and sour chicken, pad Thai (excellent) and rice. Very full but very delicious !

Ornate carvings throughout the restaurant which sets it apart from so many other Thai restaurants beautiful setting and excellent service. Delicious food with a good range of banquet menus to choose from. Always great when food 'looks ' good pleasing to the eye and doesn 't disappoint the taste buds either! Also had 0% beer which is a plus for those who would like the taste of the drink without the after effects! Ver carta

Visited this restaurant with a young child and we were made fantastically welcome from the get go. The interior itself makes it worth a visit (closest you’ll get to Thailand without going to Heathrow), but coupled with the top service and food, this place is a compulsory stop for anyone in town. There is an extensive menu, serving consistently great food. The staff are efficient and friendly- a kind man gifted my son a little airplane toy to keep him amused throughout. 10/10

I can only comment about the service as we left before sitting down. We were not acknowledged when we entered (two employees looked and both looked away), and then we were treated as if they were doing us a favour by serving us. The attitude was awful. Unfriendly, curt and unpleasant. We were shown to a table but decided we wanted to spend our money elsewhere rather than be treated poorly. We left before sitting down. The waiter did not seem to understand when I told him why he had upset us. Too arrogant, I suspect.

Came here for our anniversary which we advised about when booking although the food was not bad and plentiful we felt very rushed in and out within an hour not really how we wanted to spend an anniversary meal the service was not great we was trying to speak to our waitress who just nodded each time but surprisingly when it came to the bill she was able to tell us service was not included!! But rude !! A bit disappointed as wanted to make this a bit special they did not it’s fine if you want to be in an out quickly though. And we did leave a tip!’ Ver carta
