Thatched Cottage - Carta

This restaurant is fantastic! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent. We can't wait to come back for our next visit. The campsite is also maintained to the same high standard.

Lovely thatched cottage style restaurant. Parking to rear of the restaurant but slightly limited. Parking on the road available. Lovely beams but watch your head if you are tall. The Sunday lunch was excellent. Good service overall. Definitely will be back

A lovely friendly atmosphere and the food was exceptional. A group of 6 we all chose different mains and desserts and we were all very happy with our meals. The gluten free options were excellent especially the fish and chips. This was our first visit and we will definitely visit again Ver carta

I had an amazing lunch at this restaurant. The ambience was great and I will definitely be returning. The vegetarian options were fantastic. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly and the sizzler dish was fabulous. The staff and venue were both wonderful. Overall, I would rate my experience a 10/10.

Stopped by during a long journey for lunch, serving lunch until 3pm. At 2.35pm they've stopped serving and absolutely no offer of any other food or suggestions. Two people were chasing staff around to pay. Seemed a bit chaotic. The food might have been good but I won't waste time taking a detour again.

Fantastic resturant and bar in a beautiful setting. Food is absolutely stunning with incredibly generous portions, and plenty of good stuff to drink on the taps or bottled. I've been a few times now and the service has always been above and beyond last time we went Daisy served us, and she was attentive and polite. Will be back again and again. Ver carta

The manager was incredibly attentive to our needs, even when the bar was very busy. She provided us with a personalized experience and was very quick to meet our requests. Both my partner and I had a wonderful time here. The manager should be proud of her excellent customer service skills. I would highly recommend this bar/restaurant to anyone, as you will not be disappointed.

I met with my friends here on the 30th June for a catch up. A shame to see it quiet on a Friday night, but the service and the food was really good. You could tell there was some new staff, but they were being fully supported and trained well. Food was really nice, and well cooked. The atmosphere was nice, background music and not too loud. No complaints, would certainly go back to explore the menu further.

Had Sunday lunch here as part of a group staying on camp site. Service for 14 was very good. I had roast lamb which was served with a bed of mash, roasted potatoes and a large Yorkshire pudding on top. Vegetable selection were leeks in cheese sauce and a medley of red cabbage, broccoli and roasted cubed root vegetables. Very nice meal and very filling. I did not need the dessert but had already pre-ordered it. £15 one course, £20.00 for 2. Nice food and very popular. Ver carta
