"My partner and I brought our dog with us to the restaurant and asked for seating recommendations. We were seated at a table out front where smokers were coming and going from inside. We were informed that there was a heater, but it only provided warmth for about 2 minutes. The canopy above us was dripping due to the rain, and the ground was sloped in a way that caused flooding in some areas. Our dog ended up getting wetter while leaving than when he arrived, as he had to lay on a wet paved area. The music was extremely loud, making conversation impossible. Despite requesting for it to be turned down, it never happened. We had to eat facing the street, with passersby checking out our food. Additionally, a drinks delivery lorry arrived and the deliverymen made a lot of noise as they passed by us. One of them even spat on the ground. The barman/manager seemed indifferent when I mentioned that the food was good but the seating was not ideal. Instead, he chose to chat with two young ladies and their dog at the table next to us."

Night club is a definite miss, heavy handed bouncers, obviously aren’t up to date on manhandling procedures . Stairs are for walking up and down not to be thrown!!

I have dined at this restaurant regularly throughout the past year and every visit has been excellent. The staff is friendly, the bar is lovely, and the food is consistently delicious and affordably priced. Ver carta

I went to this restaurant for two nights and had the best time. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The entertainment was fantastic, and it was honestly the best place I have ever stayed. The food was also delicious.

Went for lunch on 3rd November. Had previously been here a few years ago and liked the food. Even better this time. Got a lovely starter with the Caesar Salad. Then really enjoyed the Guinness Pie. Finished off with jam sponge and custard. The quality of food was excellent. The prices were very reasonable and the staff very friendly. Ver carta

Stayed here on a Sunday night, also had dinner in their restaurant that evening. From moment we arrived the staff were amazing, they went out of the their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Food was excellent, we'd chowder and King prawns, just fantastic. Breakfast following morning was freshly cooked and again staff amazing. Music in bar Sunday night great too. Will definitely be back.

Food is great! Bar staff and reception staff are very friendly and helpful but the thing that let's this hotel down is the noise. I understand some noise can't be helped, from outside ect but when they have their cleaning staff start at 9am and when they are shouting to each other and laughing and joking right outside your door then it's an issue. This went on for an hour, not exactly relaxing. The sound proofing in this hotel is TERRIBLE. The music from the nightclub rattled through the hotel until around 1.30am and we were on the 2nd floor. I love a party as much as the next person so have no issues with people having a good time but they should have soundproofed the hotel better as its SH...

"We chose this as a convenient mid point venue for a birthday celebration at the Lodge Hotel Coleraine. We were greeted by unsmiling staff and shown to our table. We made our choices. The starters arrived promptly and were OK. When the main course arrived, the waitress unfortunately overbalanced her tray and the salad with blue cheese sauce slid off into my friend's bag and all over the floor! These things happen but not once did she apologise. My other friend had chosen the nut roast. This had been over microwaved to the point of cremation. She drew it to the attention of the waitress who just looked blankly at her! She finally twigged she should ask if she'd like a replacement. Again no apology. The other two mains, fish, were uninspiringly mediocre to say the least. When we'd finished these, a waitress came up with the dessert menu and said we could choose one on the house. I chose Christmas pudding which turned out to be sponge with 6 sultanas!! My two friends wanted liquer coffees and it took 20 mins before we could attract anyone's attention. We were then told the coffee machine would be closing in 10 minutes! We got the coffee and I asked for the bill and a chat with the duty manager. The chap came and chatted to me whilst I explained our unfortunate experience. He was very apologetic. I asked him to review the bill before presenting it to us. He came back with a cheesecake with a candle in and took £5 off the bill! Never again! More training def required."

"Visited lost Found in Portstewart last Friday afternoon for some lunch. Checked the outdoor menu which stated food served until 3.30pm. Went ahead on inside. Started to briefly read the menu at the till as aware from previous visits that you order on arrival yourself at the counter. Was told by the female counter staff that we had 8 minutes to place our order and to take the menus to the table. We did this. Then when we said excuse me to the same member of staff, from our table, that we’d like to order, we were told we had to come back to the till. This made no sense whatsoever. From the moment we stepped in and were told that we had 8 minutes to order should have been the red flag I guess. Friday afternoon, not long till closing, they just didn’t want to be bothered prepping two rounds of food, The two members of staff in the premises had the worst attitude and no ounce of personality to be in the role that they are in. Every thing seemed to be a complete bother. May I also add, the food was very skimp, re portion sizes plus they seem to care more about the presentation than the food itself re the logo branded paper underneath the food. Try attempting to cut sourdough bread on this, not easy unless you want a mouthful of paper. Then when it comes to hot drinks, no sugar or milk provided. Yet again had to approach the till and ask for these to be provided with milk in a paper cup yet another couple had a glass jug of milk on their table (less dishes to wash I guess) and no white sugar at all, had to make do with brown sugar for tea. When asked for refills of hot water we were given a half full glass of this and then when asked for it to be filled up, yet again a whole botheration. Oh and don’t even get me started on the toilet facilities. Dingy to say the least. The premises in portstewart should never have reopened when it did as Lost and Found, previous owner/cafe was far more superior in all ways. Will not be back"
