"Typically, this restaurant is very good, but today the food was excellent while the service was lacking. Despite pre-ordering our meals, our party of 16 people, booked for 12:30, experienced long wait times. Most of us arrived on time, but still had to wait quite a while for our main meals, and even longer for desserts. To make up for the delay, they gave us a £50 discount. I hope they can address the issues causing the delay, as it is a charming old pub and I would like to visit again in the future."

It was lovely. Expected to be cold on an evening of minus figures but was pleasantly warm next to an open fire. Food was great. Service was great. Tracy looked after us perfectly.

Had a fantastic Christmas lunch at The Angel today. The atmosphere was festive, the service was excellent, and best of all, no dishes to clean up afterwards! It was a win-win experience.

The last time I went in this pub was 21 years ago, went there with a very good friend an we had a few drinks and some cooked bar food. the food was lovely, the pub is still very cosy and welcoming with the open fires, staff were very friendly as well, will be going back and would recommend.

Today we enjoyed a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The nibbles deal of 3 for £10.00 was satisfying and a great value. We will definitely be returning in the future. Stef, Yaz, and Maisie provided amazing service. Thank you to The Angel for a wonderful experience.

On December 17th, my group of 18 friends had a wonderful experience with dinner and great service. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed it so much that we are already planning to return in December 2024. We are grateful for the helpful and friendly staff. One member of our group who uses a wheelchair was especially pleased with the accessibility of the restaurant. Thank you.

I visited the angel for for my partners birthday we was a group of 38 including 12 children The staff were super accommodating all our food arrived at the same time , all our orders were correct and hot which is not an easy task getting nearly 40 meals ready at the same time. We had such a great night the atmosphere of the pub is great the staff are very friendly and helpful and food was really good.
