"We booked a New Year day meal for 2 families. The service was very slow and the food was at best average. An example was waiting 15 minutes for gravy which is fundamental to a roast dish. The restaurant helpfully allows dogs. We brought 2. One other table had a dog which barked for the whole meal which was poor from the owner and the restaurant. When we have feedback the waitress argued with us and told us we were wrong!! Unlikely to go back as this was third visit and although this was the poorest the other visits were only ok."

Clever and unusual menu. Presentation of dishes is excellent and cooking is top notch. Fixed price for two or three courses is a simple and very reasonable policy although they make good money on wine and drinks. When full it is a little noisy nothing soft (drapes, hangings) to deaden the clatter. Very good place to eat.

It was an enjoyable night, great food and lovely service from the female member of staff. Unfortunately the lights were on full throughout the night which impacted the atmosphere, it would have been so much nicer if they were softer. There was also some lost opportunities on the service front (male server) to enhance the experience which is a shame as it could have been a really great night instead of just a good one.
