Whenever I go into town I always go to the bake house for a sandwich. I usually have ham. Brie and salad. Not the cheapest but well worth the money

This restaurant is fantastic. The sandwiches are delicious, the jacket potatoes are excellent, and the cake is amazing. The staff is also great. Bake House is always busy during lunchtime, so be prepared to wait, but it's definitely worth it. It's a take-out only restaurant, but there are many nice sitting areas nearby.

This establishment offers custom-made sandwiches, salads, soups, savory snacks, irresistible cakes, and breads. I frequently stop here on my way home from town. My top picks are the turkey brie cranberry sandwich, black pudding scotch eggs, and lemon currant pastry. The variety of options is vast, and there is always a line out the door, which is a positive sign.

Whilst the food is nice... the £5 minimum spend to pay by card is a joke. It’s 2019, making it difficult for your customers to give you their money isn’t a great business model. When there are firms like iZettle and Square out there making the cost of offering electronic payments dirt cheap, there is just no excuse for it. I won’t be returning again until Bakehouse get with the times. Ver carta

called for some lunch to take home for me hubby, I chose a board special; chicken bacon with seasoning on granary, a rare beef and onion t.cake for hubby, plus a black pudding scotch egg [which he'd requested], they were all individually wrapped, it was very busy as usual, but they are always polite efficient. the lunch was enjoyed back home, everything was very tasty, a little more than we usually pay, but generous and worth it when you feel like a treat.

The Bakehouse are an independent bakery providing a good range of breads, cakes, buns etc. The daily specials that I've tried have all been delicious and good value. You can really tell how fresh the food is. There is a great range of lunch options and The Bakehouse has so much more to offer than a standard sandwich shop. Well worth making a special trip into town for a treat lunch! The staff are lovely, friendly and efficient despite being incredibly busy

This is not a restaurant or cafe, but a take-away shop and bakery, open during the day. I buy lunch from here regularly. They serve good hot and cold sandwiches (I like the hummus and med veg), really excellent fresh soup and lovely, unusual boxed salads (I like the Italian bean and tuna one). The bread and cakes are also good. Staff are friendly and there is usually a queue because it's popular. My only complaint about this placec is that it needs to open as a cafe too! Ver carta
