"Situated in Studland in a lovely spot overlooking Poole Harbour and ideally located for a nice walk to the Old Harry Rocks and surrounding countryside. Particularly pleasant on a warm sunny day are the views from the pub garden situated opposite the pub. There is a large adjacent car park, although this is operated by the National Trust and is chargeable to park unless you are an NT member or Blue Badge holder. Food is good, reasonably priced and usually well-sized portions. The pub is often busy, especially at weekends, due to its popularity and location."

Manager and staff 10/10 setting even on a moody lunch time is stunning in the garden. Food variety huge, hot cold vegan veggie etc. Would describe as above average pub grub. Good local beer

I have visited the Banked arms for many years, by car, bike and boat and love the location. Love the on-site brewery for a great selection of local drinks. Food is good, but what is the online system about! I don’t think you now need to order your drinks and food online!

A thoroughly lovely pub with very friendly welcoming staff. They were very accommodating in preparing us two takeaway roast dinners and desserts and they were the tastiest meals we have had in a long time. The portions are good and very good value for money. I will definitely return and 100% recommend.

the bankes arms is a great pub in an amazing location. we had a friendly room with dog that looked directly over the sea. beautifully furnished and very comfortable. great value for money at £95 including breakfast. we did not eat here, but what was served in the bar looked excellent. defined recommended.

A lovely location especially on a gorgeous day as the majority of tables are in the garden! The staff are friendly and helpful. They are also patient as the food ordering system leaves a lot to be desired. You are asked to order your food online however this doesn't always work well and many people, myself included were caught out by its vagaries.

beautiful location, reflected in their food prices. the personal is wonderful and the service is great. good selection of ales. However, eating is really basic quality and enormously overpriced. pub classics to extorting praises. everything on the menu was about twice the price they would expect, but did not have an amazing quality to justify it. in any case to visit a place, but perhaps only for drinks.

Great place for the local brew but the place has lost its mojo. Bring back the chalk board! Ordering from a limited menu online is not for everyone. If i owned the business there is no way i would want people just having a beer. Push and sell your food. Local fish from local suppliers. At one time you even knew what boat caught your dinner. Lovely friendly staff but to be honest i was fed up with hearing order your food on line. If you are the owner its clear from reviews what customers want.

they begin, and preferably in the week since it can be incredibly busy around the weekend, and especially in the summer. Eating and drinking was beautiful, and the staff is really helpful and polite, although if it is crowded, there are not enough hands on deck. it is dog, boots and child-friendly everywhere, with lots of space outside for a hot summer day and is pleasantly informative but comfortable warm. because all the opposite national trust is, you have to pay a small ability to park, but it is worth it here.

"We had the best time here on Saturday lunch. We arrived early to a quiet restaurant and were greeted by super friendly and well informed staff, who made us feel at ease and explained their new ‘small plates’ menu. Our kids were given a nice menu with colouring in and nothing seemed too much to ask for. We decided to let our 4 and 6 year old order from their kids menu and hoped they would try some of our dishes too. The menu really is very appealing, so much so that the 3 adults ended up ordering EVERY dish they had on the menu in the end! I think it was 16 various dishes of meats, fish, veggies and pasta’s. All homemade and with a really modern vibe. Our waitress was soo good at making us feel at ease we had the best time. A few dishes were ordered and came out really fast we were overjoyed at how beautiful they looked, and the flavours we so well balanced and punchy we got really giddy and decided to order all of the other dishes and just share them all out. Have to say each dish was a triumph, my favourite was the pork ‘burnt ends’ with sweet and sour carrots and a mustard sauce, my partners was the pointed cabbage dish with sesame, my mothers the beetroot and goats cheese crispy ball. They all were delicious, and our kids tried loads of new things like a crab pasta and a cheesey focaccia. It seems like they really thought these little dishes out soo well, temperatures, textures, colours, flavours, elegance we’ve not had anything like this outside of London. So, 16 plates in, plus the kids had their main course… we were all full up, felt like we’d been on a culinary adventure. And then we were offered something sweet okay maybe we were just being greedy, maybe we just couldn’t resist not trying more?! The kids had a ‘build your own dessert’ of ice cream and sauces and sprinkles and cake bits looked great but sadly only for kids! We had their ‘sweet things’, kind of like large petit fours. Chocolatey cake balls, salted caramel truffles and tart passion fruit jellies all were amazing! By the time we left, the restaurant was really busy and I can see why we will most certainly be coming again! Thank you!"
