Excellent lunch in a traditional pub. Friendly service. Good choice of dishes including daily pie and casserole specials. Large portions. Selection of local real ales.

Lovely pub and garden. Great food and service. Especially like the 'smaller appetite ' option as that left room for a luscious dessert. I will definitely be eating here again

Went as a large group (of near on 40) for a Sunday lunch, the food was amazing and plenty of it, the service was superb, served the children's meals first which was fab, the staff were great, friendly and happy. A beautiful and welcoming place. Ver carta

24 of us were booked in for a meal to celebrate a joint 60th birthday last night. The meal and the service was EXCELLENT. The food was served hot and tasted amazing. THANK YOU SO MUCH to all who served us and helped make our evening a memorable one

We went as a large group of 30 so booked and pre-ordered food, there was a great selected on the pre-order menu, great communication and clear and fair prices. The food all came out together, piping hot and the portion sizes meant no one left hungry! Staff were friendly and helpful and we all had a fantastic evening sat in their outdoor barn/bar area In summary; delicious food, friendly staff and great communication Would highly recommend!

I can't believe I've never dined at this restaurant before! It truly is a hidden gem. A few of us recently enjoyed our pre-Christmas dinner here, and we had a wonderful time. The food was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. The service was friendly, professional, and prompt. We came here for Sunday evening dinner. It is a really nice pub and staff are very friendly. We were hoping to have Sunday roast but unfortunately they stopped serving that at lunch time. Which was a little disappointing so we went for Ham, Egg and Chips instead. The food was really nice and would definitely come back. I thought it was a little on the expensive side but the portion sizes made up for that. Massive portions and food was lovely. Staff were friendly. Just a bit disappointed at the menu and lack of Sunday roast.

My friends and I have been meeting for Christmas lunch since the 1970s, and this year we decided to try The Bell. My wife and I had been there before and enjoyed it, but for the other four it was their first time. We received a warm welcome when we arrived, were quickly seated at our table, and our drink orders were taken. Our pre-ordered starters arrived promptly and were delicious. The main courses, whether Blade of Beef or Turkey, were incredibly generous and the side of vegetables was a pleasant surprise - a wide selection and a large serving. My family recently enjoyed a Sunday lunch at this restaurant. We were seated in the Barn area, a spacious rustic building located in the garden. The tables were well spaced out, providing a sense of openness. There were two woodburners keeping us warm, but there was a strong smoke odor present most of the time, which could be bothersome. The sliding door to enter the area allowed for constant cold drafts as it opened and closed frequently due to the toilets, kitchen, and bar being located in the pub.
