with my family for lunch. we had roasted, eating was nice and had a lot of taste. was good. service was very good. loved the view of the canal, although we sat inside, because the weather today was not very nice. Ver carta

Thoroughly recommend this venue. I cannot fault anything other than the weather, which is beyond anyones control!! The food, service and ambience were all perfect. The garden is beautiful also, so hopefully we shall visit again on a sunny day. I’d say that this is one of the top pubs in MK. If you haven’t been, definitely venture out.

beautiful gastro-pub in the old part of milton keynes. all the servers we had were so friendly, drinks where quickly poured and regularly checked. the food was very nice and distributed to its cost properly. drink prizes where reasonable and not miss the sticky toffee pudding. outside the road sign needs a brighter light. it is hard to see at night the entrance to this beautiful place.

As ever, the Black Horse came up trumps. A wonderful experience for the friend I took this time. And thankfully the weather was lovely so that we could sit outside, have a drink and wave at the long boats going by. The only disappointment in an otherwise perfect meal was the minuscule piece of crackling I was served barely visible. I ordered the pork roast because I love crackling and this needs to change. I would recommend the Black Horse without hesitation. Ver carta
