A very comfortable bed. Both evening meal and breakfast were first class. A friendly pub atmosphere. All staff very helpful.

Went for lunch with friends shared a Ploughman’s with the wife that was for one more than enough for two fresh tasty excellent

16 of us had lunch here. Food was super hot, arrived almost simultaneously, was of very good quality and decent sized portions. We were all very happy with the service and will certainly be back.

The food at this restaurant was not great. The vegetarian option was very disappointing and unappealing. My fish and chips were mediocre. However, the staff were friendly. In general, the pub seemed unclean and run-down. Ver carta

Popped in for Sunday lunch. Dog friendly pub, welcoming staff and atmosphere, wood burner going and Christmas lights all cosy. Massive roast dinner, absolutely gorgeous, first turkey of the season and £11! Wish it was our local.

I stumbled upon this restaurant and booked a seniors 2-course lunch for just £9.99. There was a great selection of 6 meals and 4 desserts to choose from. We were impressed by the portion sizes, which were decent and served piping hot. Despite the large presence of the Women's Institute in the restaurant, the service was quick. We will definitely be returning in the future.

After walking in the area, we decided to have lunch at the Black Swan. One of the specials on the menu was a cold meat platter with a side of chips for £13.95. We thought this would be a good lunch to share and ordered it. However, when it was brought out, it was different from what we expected. There was only one piece of meat and three large pieces of cheese, but no chips. Despite the mix up, the ploughman's lunch was absolutely delicious. The warm and crispy bread rolls, tender gammon ham, and generous portions of Cheddar, Brie, and Cornish Blue cheeses, accompanied by piccalilli and homemade coleslaw, made for a satisfying meal.
