"My family arrived at the restaurant 2.30pm, and I was coming to join them after my work. I arrived at 2.45pm. The woman handed me a menu, within 5 seconds I was asked what I wanted. So I said “I have just been handed the menu, can you give me a minute please” and the woman responded extremely rudely “well the kitchen is closing so hurry up”. I handed the woman back the menu and told her not to bother. My families meals arrived shortly after as they had all ordered around half 2. The food for my family arrived at around 2.50pm. By 3pm, the woman came over asking my family if they were finished yet… Each plate still had atleast half the meal left so it was clear nobody was close to finished. The woman then said “well we close at 3 so please hurry”. Why on earth would you allow people to order four meals after 2.30pm, if you wanted them out for 3pm? The food didn’t even come out until after 2.45pm… So they expected everyone to rush their meals in ten minutes?? Staff were extremely rude (except from The young girl, she was polite and nice). There was an older guy who was clearly involved in the business, who decided to sit across from the table for the last 5 minutes and stared at us the entire time clearly trying to make us leave quicker. Worst thing is, the food was awful. Definitely do not recommend"

"My friends and I recently went to this restaurant for the first time. It was a wonderful experience, and we were served by a delightful young man with a tremendous mullet. We believe he said he was from Musselburgh but we never caught his name. The only disappointment of this experience is we never got his social media. Hit us up, Mullet Man! You’re great!"

"I was sure in the night at the satten night with friends and this little restaurant is excellent the steak that I had had been one of the best I had ever had eaten, there was a great choice on the menu and good selection of drinks also everyone on my table commented how good the food was and how friendly and helpful the staff was, I would highly recommend this small restaurant"

"Been here often, very happy with past experiences except the last time and this time, (a few weeks ago and today). Food was not great at all. Ordered a Hawaiian pizza. What I received was a cheese pizza, loaded with cheese and a few measly bits of ham (about 4 in total) and roughly 4 pieces of pineapple triangles! My husbands toasted sandwich was okay and came with Doritos, why not salad alongside. Bizarrely also had a tiny pot of coleslaw with it. Tea last visit was dire, water wasn’t even boiled properly and we had to return it, tea this time was at least hot and nice. Won’t be rushing back I’m afraid. Shame as convenient when in Hawick."

"really nice team, cute more cozy place, but the menu had several obvious non-vegan options marked as vegan, like feta. the word said that he put it with the peculiarities, so it will be better in the future. unfortunately no vegan cake, so we black coffee and went on our cheerful wise."
