nice eating, great service, very clean toilets looked like they were in a 5* hotel. a lot of space between tables.

Great pub. Great food wines Ales. Lovely pub in quiet surroundings. Highly recommended. Went back again had a lunch. Fantastic Cajaun Burger fries onion rings. Sat next to log fire. Amazing place to go for food. Great friendly atmosphere

Had dinner this evening at the Bridge Tavern. The whole experience was fantastic. John welcomed us back, his team leader was very polite and attentive with our every need. The food was fabulous I had prawns to start with followed by seared scallops and sea bass on a pea risotto. I would strongly recommend you pay a visit Ver carta

I had a wonderful lunch here on Sunday. We started with a stroll along the Itchen Navigation and then settled in for our meal. The food and service were excellent. I particularly loved my slowly roasted short rib—it was fantastic! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. The flavors were spot on. I highly recommend this place; it's great value for money, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Lovely pub restaurant next to the river. Lovely, friendly team and atmosphere. Great food and choices on the menu, with specials available. Dog friendly (separate areas available) and complete with a doggy menu!! Car parking round the back and then walk a downward slope to rear of restaurant. Outside seating area. Some steps to rear. Disabled parking and access to the front. We enjoyed a lovely meal mid week and will return again soon.

We hadn’t eaten here for a while but stopped in for a last minute Sunday roast. It was absolutely amazing. I had the rib of beef which was cooked to perfection. My husband had the vegetarian and would recommend this too. The potatoes and veg were well cooked. I highly recommend the banana waffle dessert also perfect. The lovely waitress also deserves a mention. Not sure of her name but she has worked there for a few years and is always so helpful and polite. Needless to say, we will be back! Ver carta

I went to the Bridge with a friend for an evening meal. The atmosphere is friendly and gentle, no rushing or hassling. I also appreciated the space given between tables which meant we were able to chat without having to raise our voices or hear the life stories of the occupants of the nearest table. The food is usually very good, I was a little disappointed this time, hence the 4 and not 5 stars given. However, the general quality for money and a lovely evening spent in a good pub means I will definitely be visiting again soon

An ideal place to visit if you are looking for the classic English pub/restaurant experience. It 's a Green King so the bar is fairly generic; however you will usually find at least 4 real ales on offer. The food and location are the stand out attractions, the menu is plentiful, varied and high quality whilst still being good value (especially if you can get hold of a 'family and friends 15% discount code '. The location right next to the Itchen navigation walk, Shawford rail station and M3 junction make it easy to get to from anywhere. There is also a reasonably sized rear car park and lots of outdoor seating. Dog friendly also. Highly recommended.

Stopped here for breakfast today. We booked ahead, but it was very quiet and the carpark was empty. Due to the proximity to the railway you have to input your car reg into the screen at the entrance so you don’t get a ticket. Greeting was warm and we were offered coffee as we sat down. Brunch menu was fairly comprehensive and well priced. Having ordered our choices we waited for brunch to arrive. Food took quite a long time to arrive despite it being quiet. Food itself was ok and well presented although taste wise a bit underwhelming. The location itself was cosy with a well laid out bar. Special mention to the dog friendliness with treats and water available and dog lead hooks at most table... Ver carta
