"My Daughter came for a drinks and quick bite to eat, paid for parking but ran over the time and has now been landed with a £75.00 fine. I find this disgusting, there is no free parking as with other such shops/pubs c 2 hours when using the facilities, simply a money making scheme. I have seen a comment from the pub saying if your going to run over your time let the staff know and they will be happy to extend the time free (if waiting for food etc) this of no help after the event! I don’t often complain but as a student she can’t afford £75.00 for less than 30mins of unpaid parking, She bought a ticket but is being charged a full fine.....can’t believe a pub would treat customers in this way.....disgusting and I would ask the pub to put this right. Drivers beware!!!"

Always look forward to staying here. Great pub, usual high standard Wetherspoons. Polite, friendly, very helpful staff.

Nice hotel. Great staff. Free parking for hotel guests (if you can find a space). Excellent value both in the hotel and bar/restaurant. Rooms are far from large but tidy and perfectly OK for a few nights.

Went into this restaurant. I found that the tables were filthy. I only ordered a salad and it took forever to arrive. Also the staff behind the bar were very noisy and just having a big laugh. It felt very inappropriate.

I visited here today for a steak i asked for medium to well done and was served with blood over it. The staff simply were not listening they were too busy working out their xmas shifts. I will not visit here again it was awful

Since we are able to walk here, we go often. Enjoy rgular or even small breakfast and breakfast burrito. Fish Friday is a great deal and usually excellent. Like the bbq ribs small plate w/a side salad. Even if you pay to park, you get your money back as credit toward food.

Went for lunch as usual with family and ran over the hour for the car park. Now received a £45 fine to pay this week and so displeased the family will now not be returning to the Brocket after living close to the pub /hotel for the last 27 years. Simply disgusted by this fine by paying customers. Chris

A small breakfast cuppa cost me £80. I was a few minutes over the hour and Euro Car Parks pounced. If visiting this pub and using their car park take a stop watch and place it in front of you and clock watch whilst you should be relaxing having your meal. Euro Car Parks are laughing all the way to the bank at the expense of Wetherspoons as none of my family will return to this pub

Never EVER again, Mixed grill so tough and dry ‘Time team’ would struggle to identify it! Table wet, dirty. Dodged a good cleaning for what seems like weeks. The walls had more food and drink on them than i ordered. Get a grip, being as cheap as you are does not excuse poor hygiene, poor food and a hot drinks machine that pumps out hot water “with a hint “ of coffee. Let down and disgusted.

"After reading the reviews we was really looking forward to eating here ,however it turned out to be the worst tapas and worst service we have ever received . After waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order we then waited a further 30 mins to be served with what can only be described as toast with tasteless mushed up tomatoes on , this was inedible and hardly touched , a further 20 minutes on and we was served a single dish of chicken between two of us again this was very bland and resembled nothing like a original tapas dish more like a chicken korma again this was hardly touched . When I enquired as to where the rest of the food was I was told they was very busy . With this we decided to cut our loses and asked for the bill . Before leaving we tried to have a conversation with the manager who is also the chef to give some honest feedback ,however he wasn’t open to listening , he’s response was “it’s normal in a tapas restaurant to receive one dish at a time between two with a large gap between dishes wasn’t it explained to you that’s what tapas is “We felt this was a very patronising remark as we eat tapas on a regular basis and know this is definitely not the case . To matters worse there was people who came in after us with multiple plates and tucking in nicely to their meals . The manager who was obviously struggling to cope on a busy Saturday night should have just apologised and admitted our order had been overlooked . If you are looking for authentic Tapas with excellent service in Wigan go to Casa Carlos this place doesn’t deserve your hard earned money ."
