Stopped off here for dinner. Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and most importantly, the food was amazing!! Shame we live so far away, I would definitely be back.

The food at this restaurant is amazing. The lamb is the best I've ever had and they offer some unique menu items like loaded fries with pheasant that were also delicious. The ingredients are high quality and the service is excellent and attentive. I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could, especially considering the reasonable prices.

A lovely cosy little country pub with first class food. Couldn't recommend this beautiful little place enough. Great food, well presented and delicious. After the flood, the pubrestaurant have pulled out all the stops to get operating again and they've done a great job. It's good to be back! We had Sunday lunch today. just a main course and some drinks. The roast beef dinner was perfect as usual, just the right amount of pink in the meat and fresh, delicious, perfectly seasoned veg. I was tempted, but there was something new on the menu tempura battered chicken chilli burger. Oh it was stunning. Not your usual Sunday lunch, but perfect!

We found this little gem while exploring mid Wales. Absolutely lovely little pub. Very friendly staff, kids had a game of pool before a fantastic dinner next to an open fire. Main course was lovely. We all tried something different and none of us were disappointed (4 of us). I was well happy with a pint of Butty Bach, highly recommend if you like an ale. Finished off with what the wife described as the best double chocolate Brownie she has ever had. All in, it was reasonably priced, great food, beer and perfect service. Thank you for a very enjoyable visit.

This was our second time visiting this charming pub, and we thought the food was even better than the first visit. Among the five of us, we ordered a variety of dishes including fish and chips, a Bull burger, bacon chop, sweet and sour fries, and a chicken 'sandwich.' All of the main dishes were delicious, generous in portion size, and great value for money. The desserts were also excellent. The fact that the pub was packed at 3:30pm is a good indicator of its quality. It's best to make a reservation in advance. The staff were very friendly as well. We will definitely be returning. This is a charming old pub in a pretty village with good food and friendly staff. I chose beef shin which I enjoyed, but I would have liked more saute potatoes and vegetables, as they were more of a garnish to the dish than a portion served separately. This meant I was still hungry so had to have a sticky toffee pudding! Perhaps that's the idea. If you have a good appetite you might have to order an extra side dish, but that would of course make the meal more expensive. The wine is good, which makes a welcome change from most pubs who just concentrate on the beer. I enjoyed a very flavourful sauvignon blanc, and had to exercise self control not to have another.

The Bull and Heifer is a fantastic dog-friendly village pub that our family thoroughly enjoyed. We have two children (ages 8 and 10) and brought along our four-legged companion. The pub had a cozy atmosphere with a warm log fire, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. We tried the Salt Baked Beetroot and Goats Cheese, Tempura Pheasant, and Tempura Chicken for starters, followed by Cumberland Sausage, Root Veg Pie, Pan Roasted Chicken, and Chicken Loaded Fries for mains. Our kids enjoyed the Bueno ice cream for dessert. The food was delicious, well-seasoned, well-cooked, and the portion sizes were just right. I have put that we were here for lunch, because we came on a Sunday and partook of the traditional Sunday Roast, but we actually booked a table for the early evening. I did have a little nagging concern that, going in the evening after a busy Sunday lunch service, we might be getting the ends of the roasts and the kept warm sides, but my fears were completely ungrounded. We both went for Roast Pork and received large plates, stacked high, well presented and thoroughly delicious. A generous portion of meat and crackling, atop a veritable mound of vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Served piping hot, with hot plates.
