"Disappointing experience, a place we wanted to try due to the reviews being so positive. We chose the bottomless brunch and sat in the courtyard. The food was ok but my muffin was rock hard underneath the egg. The head waiter wasn’t particularly helpful and and the younger waiter I found to be a little rude. We were told to wave when ever we wanted a drink but were left outside and forgotten about. There was nobody outside as both waiters stood around and didn’t think to check. The only reason we managed to get any drinks was because the fridge and freezers etc were outside so had to ask repeatedly to have the heater on and for drinks. So not a place either of us would go to or recommend."

"Been in couple times, excellent service and always busy. I've tried the afternoon tea, used to be two to chose from but I believe only one now. I'd like to challenge someone to finish one. This time I had the grazing board, again used to be two but only one now. The kids have a separate one more catered for kids Definitely need to book a table in advance Service: Dine in"

"Menu looked promising. A mixture of traditional pub food and more exotic dishes. The Korean egg starter was tasty and flavoursome. Unfortunately the toasted cheese stack was very stodgy and bland and the scone like base didn't really work for me. The flatbread was huge and filling but would have preferred it wiih a tomato sauce base instead of the sweet onion chutney. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The decor is traditional and clean and lovely views. There is a car park. The music was a bit annoying at times, a mixed play list but some of the songs weren't very relaxing, especially as the clientele were mostly elderly. A nice bar area and dog friendly."

"What has happened to Med One??? We tried to book for a party of 10, we were told over the phone we had to pay a deposit which was absolutely fine BUT we couldn't pay over the phone...we would have to pay cash which meant someone would have to drive into Huddersfield after 5pm when they open in order to pay. Hours have reduced, no daytime hours any more so sadly no lunches at med one. The food was amazing as usual and the waiting staff were lovely. When we went to pay we were met by a very surly man at the bar who told us we couldn't pay individually, someone would have to pay for a party of 10. When we complained he said he would allow us just this once but he wouldn't do it again. (We replied, don't worry, there won't be a next time) He was so rude, no thank you for our business, did you enjoy your meal? Very surly. Med One food is fantastic but they seem to be going out of their way to make things difficult for customers . Such a shame to lose a fantastic restaurant. I know times are hard but come on Med One, let customers know you appreciate them!"

"We booked the bottomless brunch and service was absolutely shocking. Had to go up to the bar a number of times to order our own drinks just seemed like the staff were avoiding us, not like any other brunch I had been to before. Staff were quite rude on one particular occasion when I went to the bar I was stood there for around 5 mins waiting to be served while staff were just breaking boxes, avoiding eye contact. Would definitely not recommend the brunch there are so many others out there that are much better."
