Great welcome, friendly and helpful staff. Good, freshly cooked meals with a good selection of vegetarian food. Also, a good selection of beers. Will certainly be going back.

Called in today (20/11) for lunch. Lovely welcome from staff and locals. The food was delicious with an amazing vegan/veggie menu. I also enjpyed meeting Pickles. The pub cat. X

Delicious lunch. The bar staff were lovely and very helpful. Homemade soup was gorgeous. Excellent burger. Nothing was too much trouble and there was even a bowl of treats for the dog

Found this pub via trip advisor on a recent outing, great pub with restaurant area and good ambiance. Plus they are dog friendly. The food was excellent my partner had the lamb steak and I had the sea bass, both cooked perfectly. The service was second to none. Great to see quality food and service. Would definitely going again if in the area.

Despite a mix up with our booking we were seated quickly issued with menus. Between us we had chicken Kiev, pizza, scampi, bunch burgers. The food was fantastic; all home-cooked fresh. Nothing appeared to have been frozen, for eg the scampi was breaded in panko breadcrumbs. The staff were really friendly, the resident cat, Pickle, very happy to be made a fuss of. We’ll definitely return if we find ourselves in the vicinity again.

Booked for 7.30pm, ordered at 7.45pm waited until 9.30pm for our food, we could see that the pub was busy so didn’t complain for the first hour but then the pub and restaurant area emptied out and still no food. We had 2 young children with us that were getting very tired. We asked how long the food would be after 1 hour wait and we’re told that they were unsure as they had been busy no, real apology and no staff member through out the long wait came over and apologised. The table next to us were told there would be a wait for food and offered a free drink for the wait. I had to ask for money to be taken off the bill! This is not customer service! We found this absolute gem when on holiday in 2022. The food was great and staff friendly. But could it be as good a year later? Oh yes! The food is really good quality and cooked spot on. Particular mention for the horseshoe gammon, top quality meat with very little rind, served with a great chunk of pineapple and runny fried egg. Pizzas were enjoyed and extra homemade chips. As for the garlic bread with cheese WOW honestly think it's the best garlic bread I've had bar none! This was out first time taking our new puppy out, and what a great time he had!
