"This little quaint cafe in Drymen, Scotland was a very welcome find. Beautiful food. Fresh produce. Home baked cakes etc... exceptional friendly staff that go above and beyond to ensure you are pleased with everything. Very helpful and happy to give help and directions to some wonderful sights. They really were amazing people. Truly a must visit. A sincere and genuine welcome. Definitely go visit them you will go back...we did every morning! Thankyou skoosh you made our stay at balmaha very enjoyable."

"We came here for dinner after a disastrous attempted stay at the Buchanan Arms Hotel. As the hotel could not honour of booking we arrived at the Drymen Inn two hours earlier than our arranged booking. My mum explained our situation to Victoria and she rearranged things and got us into the restaurant so we could still get a nice meal. Victoria then offered to phone other local hotels to see if we could get a room elsewhere. All 5 of us had lovely meals and all the staff that we dealt with where so lovely. I can't recommend this place more. Staff lovely meals tasty"

"Where do I start, didn’t stay at the hotel came in for dinner waitress came to table small girl blonde hair in bun , first of all her attitude was off to start with!! We asked what she would recommend she said nothing I don’t eat here I only work here ok so what are the favourite dishes ? None that I know off , I’m only here for the money so ok well after that we picked steak pie asked for chips got mashed potatoes ! Asked for no sauce on Cajun burger or salad came loaded with both called girl over asked her if she could get it replaced as not what we ordered ! Her reply was no sorry I can’t do that there is your food and enjoy!! Well what a cheek the girl should be trained disgusting to talk to people like that later found out her name was Paige from the other girl, this girl needs to stop been arrogant with customers we will not be back unless you can assure us our order will taken correct and not by a wee girl chewing gum and not caring Alex"

"On our way to Buchanan castle (amazing find btw driving along stirling road we happened to pass a sign for this place. Wanting coffee, my fiancé, my dad and I stopped to check it out. After parking in the gravel parking lot, we walked to the into the beautiful magically themed courtyard (not over the top, but a perfect touch After entering the Soup Dragon Cafe we noticed a few vegan options on the daily specials board, glancing at the menu we saw it was peppered with vegetarian and vegan options, and upon ordering our coffee, we discovered to our delight that there were four options for vegan “milks”! There was also a display case with 5 baked goods, two of which were vegan (the one we tried [fondant pastry I think] was out of this world We tried a vegan haggis roll (super tasty), as well as the sausage sandwich (also good). Can’t recommend this place enough! The atmosphere was perfect, everybody was very nice, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, the shop also seemed to sell post cards and a few other things. There was a community book shelf of donated books in the courtyard as well, and if we hadn’t been in such a rush we would have undoubtedly stayed longer to enjoy the area! Perfect place to stop by if your ever driving by Killearn or Ballfron — it’s right on the way to Buchanan Castle and queen Elizabeth forest park if you’re coming from the stirling area. It’s right off the main road, and is easy to access."

"My partner and I were recently enjoying a short break in drymen and wanted to find somewhere to eat on the 1st night, we liked the look of the menu displayed just outside the winnock hotels entrance so decided to dine there. When we sat down we were quite promptly approached by a waitress who asked what our room number was we told her we weren't staying there but had just come for a meal she looked horrified, stuttered then rushed away, a little while later another waitress came over asked if we wanted drinks and gave us a menu, when we took a look we realised it was a completely different menu to what we'd seen previously which didn't have much of an appetising selection and was more than twice the price, we already had our drinks so resolved to stay thinking the foods bound to be amazing at those prices, when it arrived we were a little aghast at the tiny portion,(I have seen much bigger childrens servings in restaurants)plus there was no apple sauce for my partners pork, and poor presentation then on tasting it was mediocre at best, very average and pretty bland. We left feeling angry at being totally ripped off and hungry, would of been better going to a wetherspoons the food would have been tastier, the service better and at least we would have left there full!!!!"
