"The menu had a decent variety, though it wasn’t particularly extensive and I was surprised not to see a specials menu. I chose the fish and chips with garden peas, while my friend ordered the chicken and leek pie after enjoying a starter of creamy garlic mushrooms. The portion sizes were impressive; the fish was one of the largest I've encountered in a pub or restaurant, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The chips were tasty, but a few were quite thick and slightly undercooked. For dessert, I opted for the chocolate orange cheesecake. It was delicious, but given the price, I felt the portion could have been larger. Unfortunately, I can't say whether I would return, as it seems this establishment is set to close in 2023. Based on my experience, I doubt that the closure has anything to do with the food quality."

"visited here on a sunny Sunday, who had gone with our four young children and dogs of barrowford, we ran late, but the dame was friendly and understanding on the phone. when we arrived, we ordered from the vegetarian and vegan menu, which had some...loving options, we tried the miso tofu, tempura vegetables, hummus and pitta, beer broken banana blossoms goujons and a chopped mushroom and bead of wobbles, next to a vegetarian frying dinner. the food was delicious, cheap and our dog was allowed to join us in the restaurant. the service was fast and efficient. will definitely be visited again."

"Me and my mum went for a drink on a Saturday afternoon as the weather was lovely. We sat in the garden out at the front and I had a look at the menu and decided I wanted to order some Brie bites off the bar snacks menu. These cost me just shy of £7 and when they came out I was shocked at the portion size! I had TWO, triangular shaped bites in a ramekin with salad piled up underneath to make it seem full. The cranberry sauce jam was lovely and the bites were nice but it was an absolute joke to be served only two for £6.95. When my mum went in to mention that we were disappointed, the lady who looked like the manager on shift said “yes, two” when my mum said was that really how many we get, and then turned her back on her. There was no offer of any sort of apology, apart from the waitress who was apologetic and said it had actually already been mentioned before! If this is the case why has nothing been done about it already? A really poor overall experience and we won’t be coming back for any main meals. Really sad as my mother used to come frequently when she was younger and really enjoyed it."

"We have ordered takeout from Bombay Lounge multiple times and have always been impressed with the high quality of the food. However, on our most recent visit, there was a mix-up with our order. The delivery driver (apologies for not getting your name) quickly realized the mistake and rectified it before handing over the order. We were pleasantly surprised to receive nearly double the amount of food we had originally ordered, as well as a complimentary bottle of wine and sincere apologies for the error. The customer service was truly exceptional. Overall, we rate the service, food, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5. For a price range of £10-£20 per person, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit."

"We went for a walk out of Barley towards the sculpture trail and then back to eat here. Luckily the pub is dog friendly. I struggled with the menu as I have an onion allergy but the waitress on the night couldn't have been more helpful. She listened , was empathic and even asked the chef what I could and couldn't have. I had the gammon which was delicious. Millionaire shortbread for dessert finished the meal off. The decor in the pub is beautiful and reminded us of a log cabin . We will be back . Highly recommended. Nearby activities: Great walks on the doorstep. Really cute village. Food drinks: Fabulous . You won't be disappointed."
