"I looked online locally for a takeaway afternoon tea and found absolutely nowhere near me, except The Chunky Teapot. Having perused the menu it looked as if it would fit the bill, so I e mailed and ordered takeaway afternoon tea for 4. When I popped in to pay I asked for some slight diet variations which they were happy to deal with. My friend collected the food in 2 prettily tied boxes. Upon opening we were delighted to find a really lovely tea vol u vents, mini rolls wraps, giant scones with cream and jam, a wicked slice of cake each and baby macaroons, washed down with a choice of elderflower, raspberry lemonade or rhubarb ginger cordial. Sadly, I my friends ran out of tummy space before we reached the cakes but they looked delicious I'm sure will be eaten up.All of us thoroughly enjoyed our tea, and I'm sure I will order again."

I ordered afternoon tea for my mum's 60th birthday, and it arrived today. It looked and tasted delicious, and they even accommodated for gluten-free dietary needs. I would definitely return and recommend this place.

6 friends work colleagues met at 11:30 for brunch, this was my first visit and I really enjoyed the fresh made sandwiches panini. The tea is served in pots on a tray and looks lovely, the cakes are homemade and were fresh and... Ver carta

Visited the chunky teapot for the very first time, with my wife, having walked past it numerous times to go the local park, so a long overdue visit, and boy was it worth it!! We both had the club sandwich, and it was excellent, hope...

We booked for the afternoon tea take away and was overwhelmed by the sheer delight of the welcoming staff, the presentation of the food in clean and secure boxes with colourful bow ties and the taste of the food was incredible! Highly recommend

This is the most lovely cafe for breakfast/brunch/lunch with a real good attention to detail. Very clean throughout and very friendly service. High Standard of food and drinks available, I had a pot of tea with poached egg, absolutely spot on! Will be back. Ver carta

I booked a festive afternoon tea with the chunky teapot but unfortunately due to sickness was unable to attend the restaurant, the staff were so accommodating and changed this to a collection the day prior for us, so we were still able to enjoy! Thank you it was a lovely, filling, afternoon tea!

Ordered and collected several different boxes for afternoon tea, also required a nut free selection. Can only say how perfect it was, there was more than enough for our family and a great selection. Made a nice change to have little rolls instead of sandwiches, the cakes and scones were so light. We really enjoyed the food and were more than full with quite a bit left over, which we obviously finished off later. Just wanted to say thank you, and would highly recommend. Can’t wait to visit when you can open and gave people in.

"A group of 28 of us from a retirement association descended on the restaurant for an evening meal. We have a programme of meals called Food Around the World, with the intention of introducing the association’s members to varied tastes and restaurants in the area that they may not normally consider. And so it was with the Lebanese. The organiser had eaten here twice before and, having enjoyed both times, hoped the experience would be good for others. None of the other twenty-seven attendees had visited the restaurant before, and from the positive comments there are at least six wanting to go back privately. To avoid undue choice and confusion we agreed with the proprietor to take the set menu offering, and that way give the attendees a varied ‘taste of the Lebanon’. Food was well received and after the various starters some thought the meal had finished the main grill and shawarma hadn’t even been served at that point, so most attendees did go home ‘stuffed’! We started at 6:30pm, and the group was clearly having an enjoyable time and it was difficult to get them away, with most staying until nigh 10pm a good sign. With 28 of us, we filled the restaurant, and to some extent that did make moving/serving in the restaurant a bit of challenge as the restaurant is cosy. Two minor negatives slightly different table configuration might have made the feel less cosy, but then it wouldn’t have been as social. The drinks service was slightly disjointed. Material issues. No! In summary, food was plentiful, tasty, well-cooked, not exorbitant prices and therefore well worth a visit. Parking: Park in the local streets after 5:30pm for free Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Mixed Shawarma Plate Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge street parking"
