Nice little Hotel with good breakfast to tour afterwards through London. Nice cozy rooms in an attractive part of London. Really good as starting point for activities. Lori did a fantastic service. Highly recommended!

I always love coming to this place. It has great food and an amazing wine list. Draught beer won’t disappoint you either. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. I love coming in here when in the area. Would definitely recommend this place. 10/10 ! Ver carta

A short walk from Farringdon train tube stations, this is a lovely pub with a decent menu. We had drinks and starters here with friends. They have their own house gin tonic. The staff were friendly and helpful, service was prompt and the food was good. The place is tastefully decorated and felt very comfortable. We'll be returning.

Terrible service. Asked twice for dirty glasses to be cleared from table, which they weren’t. Waited a really long time for food, when it did come, the waitress said she’d be back with our cutlery. After 5/10 minutes my son had to go and ask, no apology was given and we had seen her serve 2 customers at the bar whilst we were waiting. By the time we could eat, my food was cold. Not worth the price at all.

Impromptu stop to use the facilities (my mother is in her 70s and needed to use the ladies as we were walking and en route to Covent Garden, having left Hatton Gardens. After glancing at the menu and chatting to the staff, decided to eat in the pub and very very pleased we did. The food was absolutely delicious. I had seabream on beetroot risotto with goats cheese and my mother had the steak and kidney pie with mash and veg. Both dishes super scrummy. Staff super friendly and hospitable. Chef also a delight and said he would happily prepare a separate dish for my 70 year old father who does not handle any amount of spice in his food at all well…! The food took a very long time to arrive. The portion sizes were small. The food tasted ok but was not worth the high price (see below , especially since there's lots of cheap, good food in Leather Lane. The menu prices are misleading; it doesn't include the mandatory 12.5% tip. It's in very small print at the bottom of the menu and claims to be discretionary, but it's not they add it on when you pay without asking and yet their payment device still asks if you want to leave a tip !!! So, the cheapest main course listed as £17.50 actually costs £19.69. Also, they brought me chips with my meal which i hadn't ordered (so i assumed was included in the meal, so I ate them but later charged me £6...

6 of us ate dinner at the Clerk Well on Monday night. Arriving at 6.30pm it was very busy with a private party in the other room. We sat at a big round table waited for our party to arrive. Drinks were reasonably priced for London. We drank lots. When everyone arrived we ordered food. Fish chips, bangers mash, burgers chips I being the only veggie, ordered the spiced butternut squash with giant turmeric cous cous. The vegetarian/vegan choices were disappointingly limited. My butternut giant couscous tasted nice enough though…. but wouldn’t order again. One of the servers was very sullen so only one girl was working the bar service was very slow. We stayed two nights upstairs at the Clerk and Well, and had a VERY mixed experience. We arrived a bit early and had lunch, with our luggage next to our table at the bar server 's direction . The staff seemed resigned to helping us, as if we were interrupting their day. Except for the manager, who was very very nice indeed. Lunch was pretty standard pub food and was quite good. When we went up to our room, we had to go outside, enter a separate door from the pub and go up 40 quite narrow and steep stairs. Luckily, the staff took our heavy luggage up.
