The Cliff - Carta

Had a lovely meal at The Cliff this evening, service was impeccable from Gaby. The food was cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere in a tastefully decorated restaurant.

Lovely venue, beautifully decorated. Food was delicious, especially the desserts. Ben was a great waiter are orders were taken quickly and he checked in during our meals

Ben was nothing short of superb. Nothing was a problem. Food was excellent! The chicken parfait in particular is so good. I had the beef and Malbec pie which was outstanding. Ver carta

We went for Sunday lunch and wasn’t disappointed. The food and service was excellent. As it was a celebration for my birthday it was lovely to have ‘Happy Birthday’ on my dessert plate.Gaby our server was efficient and very pleasant. Would highly recommend for Sunday lunch.

Beautiful restaurant and food thank you Harriet Alexia for looking after us! Them two ran the show tonight. They seemed like the youngest members of staff by far but also the most responsible and attentive, made us feel really welcome and special. Would recommend and will be back. Someone give these girls a pay rise!

As usual a great, chic pub/restaurant. Excellent food and drink at reasonable prices and a fantastic atmosphere. The set lunch menu is good and the normal al a carte menu has a wonderful selection to suit everyone. The weather was atrocious so couldn’t sit outside but the restaurant was just as inviting. Both of us took advantage of the 2 course lunch menu and had the steak sandwich for a 'main '. The steak was well cooked and tender, with a generous portion of this and the side of chips. We then both had the coffee and mini desert for after. The coffee was nice and the mini-desert still of a good size. My crumble was delicious. Service was very good also.

As new customers, we went for what we thought was the safest option: a burger. We were dissapointed to see that the burgers looked like something out of a Tesco packet, processed looking and perfectly formed (not homemade). When we asked our waitress to confirm this, she confirmed that the patties were brought-in. This was dissapointing and so was the burger. The chips were nice as was the staff, but if this is what the humble burger tastes like, I can only imagine what the sea bass would be like?

We had a great waiter (Jamie I think), the atmosphere was lovely, he was really attentive and took great care of us. I asked for the disabled toilet key which was provided straight away. One piece of feedback I would give, is that there is no mirror in the disabled toilet, meaning when I shut the door I was hit by the regular toilet door opening because I had to go to the women’s after. If the disabled toilet door opened from the other side then this wouldn’t be an issue either. Apart from that, the food was lovely, nice big scallops, great roast portions and we loved the mini dessert and cocktail option. We had a lovely time and have already recommended to friends. Ver carta
