After a 30 minute wait, poor quality food with anaemic chips and an ok fish. The lady who served at the till was the only friendly member of staff.

Great food, very reasonable in price and good portions friendly service. Would recommend booking in advance as we obtained the last portions of chips,

we stayed just up the road in Fernhill cottage great place to stay and ate out almost every night the Codmother was our staple go to chip shop ..cooked to perfection large portions ,Super friendly staff

Ordered 6 different meals to take away. Collected within 30 mins. The cod was the best I have had. Well cooked with nice batter. Chips that tasted great. Not dry. Scampi was enjoyed by the children. Second visit and will go back for more.

Excellent fish. Called in to see if they had gluten free options as I'm Coeliac but unfortunately they didn't. Glad they were honest. Staff were helpful, clean looking place and excellent cod for other family member. Highly recommend. Will call again

The Cod and chips my wife and I had were cooked to order. It does mean a little wait,buy its much better than shops who use a hot plate to keep food hot for long periods. The fish and batter were done to perfection and went really well with nice chips. This is our third visit here whilst on holiday and they have not yet let us down

THE BEST fish and chips in a long time Came highly recommended and did not disappoint Enjoyed fish and chips, curry sauce which was perfectly cooked, lovely portion size and enjoyed on the beach in the lovely weather Delicious, fresh and perfectly seasoned! Food was lovely. Although a bit pricey. Not sure why there isn’t food ready in the food shelf? It was so busy and had to wait 50 minutes for fish chips and peas. Usually when the shops are busy staff know to cook some fish ready to avoid long waiting times. Had to stand outside in the rain for 50 minutes which I really didn’t appreciate.

This is our favourite chippy, we go whenever we are in the area, but be very careful when you order online! I always pre order and pay online, despite this the food is never ready at the designated time, I always have to wait, usually about 10-15 minutes. I don’t mind this as they are busy and I have a chat with the lovely lady (Claire? . Last week I did my usual online order and to my dismay I realised that I had clicked on the wrong pick up time, it was a couple of hours too early and I wouldn’t even be on the island by then.
