Absolutely amazing Sunday dinner in a gorgeous setting with excellent service.

A very special historic pub. Great atmosphere, staff and food. We had a very enjoyable Sunday roast here today.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Middle Eastern inspired cuisine at this restaurant. The variety of vegetarian options on the menu was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely be back! Ver carta

The compasses is an inappropriate pub. The location is idyllic, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. In addition, the food is consistently brilliant with a varied, circulating menu that is always delicious (technical term). My only hesitation to share praise is that it is too busy, and I cannot book a table.

We had such a nice evening at The Compassses in Chicksgrove. Service could not have been quick, efficient and polite. We shared appetizers of humble and deep fried chili-squid, and then all had the steak and chips perfectly cooked rare, absolutely tasty, hot and so tasty with a beautiful bottle of melowrot wine I was in heaven and the best way to go for the first time in a long time! We had such a lovely evening at The Compassses in Chicksgrove. Service could not have been better quick, efficient and polite. We shared starters of humous and deep fried chilli squid, and then all had the steak and chips perfectly cooked rare, absolutely delicious, hot and so tasty with a lovely bottle of mellow red wine I was in heaven and the best way to go out for the first time in a long time!

My family and I met for a celebrity dinner and were not disappointed. The food is excellent and the menu varies, but not too extensive. We all said it was hard to choose from such an interesting and varied menu. The staff is friendly and helpful and the new outdoor seat offers a view of the adjacent fields. It is not heated, but we were offered blankets and were very cozy. Excellent value for money and carefully recommended.
