The Cotton House - Carta

£6.10 for a Singapore fried rice and not one king prawn, no chicken and no beef within the dish absolute disgrace. Don’t waste your hard earned money!

Ordered meal at 5.30, was told be ready 15 minutes. Had to ask one of their servers where my order was at 6pm., as people after me were getting items before me. Server had to check receipt. meal was Luke warm. Felt order had been forgotten

The service at this restaurant was exceptional. Our waitress, Emma, checked in to see how our meals were. While I enjoyed mine, Bill did not. Emma promptly informed the chef and they removed Bill's meal from the bill. All the staff were welcoming, but Emma, who is from Cumbernauld, stood out for her kindness and excellent service. This place is amazing, first time I have been, although I have been recommended it many times. Can’t wait to go back. First class service, atmosphere, and the food was outstanding. Great value with the lunch deal, and you would normally expect small portions for lunch, this is not the case, I could hardly finish my two courses, and trust me that’s unheard of. Highly recommend

This is not a review of their food, but the ability to contact them during opening hours. You cannot book a table online but have to phone. Their phone-line said 'your call is very important to us please hold ' I started off at number 10 in the queue but at 70 minutes I was caller number 2 for 25 minutes.. It was obvious the phone lines were NOT manned and people ahead of me were just hanging up..

This is undoubtedly the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. I expected a standard menu but this went above and beyond with the choices and the flavour was outstanding. I cannot fault anything here, but given how hard it is to get a table, I just felt it lacked a personal touch. And there is a very strict 2hr table limit. This was fine for us, but I wouldn’t come with a bigger party for this reason. You should definitely try this menu Ver carta

Went for a meal with friends. First of all very impressed the speed of service, especially for a Saturday night! Between the 4 of us we ordered: Starters of: Duck rolls Filo prawns Satay chicken skewers Gyoza For mains we got: Sweet Sour chicken Crispy shredded beef Special Chow Mein Kung Po Chicken Fried rice plain noodles Salt and Pepper chips. Every single dish was delicious! Also surprisingly light. Presented well and hot! Would highly recommend this restaurant!!

First time here as my birthday treat. First but not our last. Friendly,efficient service. Food was delicious (and plenty of it) Decor is slightly dated. Great menu choices , in fact difficult to decide what to have! Place was really busy(it was a Saturday night) so I would recommend booking if planning to go on a weekend. Plenty of parking although I couldn’t see any disabled spaces. Slightly more expensive than a lot of Chinese restaurants but, imo, well worth it. We will be back.

We have been long term customers of The Cotton House since 2008. Even after moving away from the area, I used to drive from Perth every other weekend for a takeaway. Now we live in the Borders and it is a rare treat to go. Never, not once in all these years, has the Cotton House disappointed. I very single time we have had takeaway or sat in, they have delivered a five star service and five star food. Yesterday was no different. It’s been 6 months since we were last here, and no surprises outstanding meal. Thank you Cotton House team. You never disappoint. Ver carta
