Cross Keys - Carta

A couple of years since my last visit and it's not changed, just the same as before, a typical wetherspoons, decent food and service.

a friend comes together, but eating was disappointing. there were no options from the menu and one of the meals was served cold, which had to be returned.

what a nice room and experience ... really enjoyed our stay, staff efficient and friendly. all very clean and intelligent. the hotel cannot praise enough. Ver carta

recently visited for drinks. people who came after us were halfway through their drinks before we even got ours. the employees need more training and they also need to smile more!

as a family for lunch, the pub was warm and welcoming. usual spoon menu and offers, personal were friendly. the food was as expected. the tables are a little cramped and no way to change a child

My friends and I stopped by this restaurant for a quick bite to eat while visiting Peebles. When you visit a Wetherspoons, you know what to expect. The prices are affordable and the food is served quickly. The staff are all polite and helpful, as expected. There is an outdoor seating area, but inside it can be a bit dark and cramped. Overall, the prices are reasonable and the service is good, just a bit dark inside. Ver carta

Stayed the night and was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room The rooms had been refurbished during lockdown and to a very high standard. Beds comfy, plenty room, bathroom spot on with walk in shower and bath as well as being roomy. Secondary glazed window so no noise to disturb. Plenty tea and coffee.Down stairs in bar area was typical wetherspoons, keeping it looking original as possible but never to busy. Staff were very good and friendly. Garden at the back had plenty seating and plenty seating at the front of the building.All in all a lovely stay

I stayed overnight and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. The rooms had been refurbished to a very high standard during lockdown. The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious, and the bathroom was perfect with a walk-in shower and bath. The windows were secondary glazed, so there was no noise to disturb. There was plenty of tea and coffee available. The bar area downstairs was typical Wetherspoons, maintaining its original look and never too crowded. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The garden at the back had ample seating, as well as seating at the front of the building. Overall, it was a lovely stay.

We stayed one night on our way home from the Scottish Highlands as we have done a couple of years ago. Great value for money and a lovely comfortable well appointed , modern, clean, new room. The only issue was trying to get a meal...on a Saturday evening the restaurant was packed out. The waitress needed some training as she took our order but we had to wait for our drinks to arrive after chasing it up. The food order we suspected had not been sent to the kitchen as we had over an hours wait. The food was good but my garlic bread was missing and again after chasing up arrived well after I gad finished my meal. The two main meals were refunded but it ruined what what could have been a nice e... Ver carta
