The Crown Wormingford

we lunched here today as a party of 6 with 2 boisterous boys. The food was good, blankets for warmth in the marquee a lovely touch as were the games and colouring. A nice time had by all

I had my daughter baby shower in the marquee at the krone. Sarah and paul where amazing she helped me so much and that eating was amazing! what an amazing to earthly couple. thanks for you!

I came here for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it i was made so welcome by Paul and Sarah and the atmos was perfect such a friendly place to go the food was great , will be there again soon

Had a lovely lunch today in the garden at The Crown. Impressed by all the Covid19 precautions. Food had very generous portions. Prices reasonable. Very friendly welcome from publican and partner. Recommended.

This pub had been recommended by a friend, because we needed to be outside, but also keep warm. We had the cover of the marquee which was heated. The food was great home cooked and will definitely go back again. We all enjoyed your meals...a d the couple running the pub made us feel very welcome.

The crown wormingford is one of the best pubs in Essex dare I say the country! The owners Paul and Sarah and the most approachable and down to earth people you will ever meet! Nothing is too much bother and they are always on hand...to help. Beer selection is great and the food well what can I say, it’s AMAZING! Burger, ribs, pies, Sunday roasts. Also the pub boasts amazing live music and has an amazing marque. Would recommend visiting anytime.

we came after a fabulous walk along the st. edmunds way intos pub and are deeply disappointed. this was on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and there was no beer to speak. we were served a store and soft drinks. a walk at the...kitchen seemed a lack of basic hygiene and the whole place was grotty. I think the personal thought we were a simple customer and we felt completely demolished. two pints camps, 7 soda gun refreshments and 5 packs craps came to over £30! avoid them at all costs!

I live quite close and my family collected pizzas all the way through lockdown, which were consistently so good. Since lockdown has been eased, the service here is amazing, the garlic bread with mozzarella is better than all Italian chain restaurants, and the chicken burgers...are the best I have ever had. This pub deserves to do so well, so much effort has been put into the garden and the views are also incredible outside. Whenever, I have been I’m made to feel so welcome and I love coming here. Thank you for always providing such friendly and outstanding service pre- and post-lockdown!

For the first time in about 5 months we've been able to eat out! We chose the |crown as it was en route home and had a large marquee and was serving food early in the evening. And we weren't disappointed. The menu is...quite small with lots of burgers and other meat dishes but there are veggie options. I chose the rack of Ribs which was huge (doggie bags ae provided and my wife had the veggie canneloni. Both dishes were superb. The locally sourced ribs were excellent and the chips were something else. I have had many chips in my time but these were as good as triple cooked in some Michelin starred establishment.
