"Great aubergine bhaji starter and chickpea Balti. Ordered some from takeaway menu which weren't on the main menu not sure why they are not on a larger main menu, as this would be better. Food is lovely, though the service was a little slow at the start. All of us enjoyed the meal."

"We’ve been to this fantastic pub restaurant many times with friends and family and it never fails to please. Always very busy, but the staff are always polite, professional and efficient. You’re rarely waiting long for anything and, no matter how busy they are, there is usually a couple of table checks to see if you need drinks or anything else. We went here last night with a friend, and we’re going again tomorrow with family (at their request after we took them there for the first time a few weeks ago). Thai food is authentic and excellent (I’ve never had English food there but I’m sure it’s very good) and they always have a couple of real ales on draught too (I can recommend the Wainwrights ale). Highly recommended."

"After booking for my birthday with friends I was booked in on the telephone with a very friendly man that gave me a great deal of hope and looking forward to my evening. On arrival we were greeted by the two staff on that night neither said hello or smiled or warm welcome he just grabbed menus and took us to the table assuming that it was my booking. After very close to 15 minutes no one has been up and asked us if we would like a drink. When the drink order had been taken a bottle of white wine, there was no thank you very much be back in a moment or a smile he just walked away not a word spoken. When we were ready to order we waited another 10 minutes and we had to call one of them over. Again the order was taken no thank you no smile and just walked away. At this point I was embarrassed with my friends that I'd gone to somewhere where we didn't seem to be appreciated or welcomed. The starters were lovely we all enjoyed those very much. The main courses came a bit after the bowls which were stone cold, and asked the lsd if we could have hot bowls he just sniggered and walked away.. When the food arrived it was all in cold dishes with no heaters on the table and so after about a quarter of the food was eaten it was cold and I do not like cold food that is supposed to be hot. Neither staff asked if everything was alright. I think this sort of service is totally unacceptable. We asked for the bill and that came and when we made payment, again there was not a thank you there was not a murmur of a word or smile from either of them or goodnight where left. This what's the first experience for all of us to Sans and to be honest I could not recommend it to anybody with the service we had and unfriendly staff that aren't bothered if you there."

"My first visit here. Lovely garden. Excellent food and very nice to see a menu with ‘different’ food. My only complaint is that we were seated at a dirty table. The staff stood around as if this was perfectly acceptable. I asked them to clean the table and this was carried out in a cursory fashion. Admittedly about fifteen minutes later all the tables were cleaned with soap and water but this should have been done when the restaurant opened. Apart from the above mentioned incident, the experience was delightful and I would recommend the restaurant highly and I would go again without hesitation."

"Lovely Sunday lunch sharing platter outside for Father’s Day. The weather was great and they also had a bouncy castle for the little ones. The roast beef and chicken were cooked to perfection as were the Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would definitely visit again when in the area. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
