The Derby Arms - Carta

The decor is beautiful, and everything is clean and well-presented. Although they only serve lunch, my experience was truly enjoyable. The children's fish goujons were incredible—made from lovely white fish, with a thick coating that was perfectly fried to a thin and crispy texture. My tuna and cheese dish had a bit less cheese than I expected, but it was still flavorful and packed with herbs. Overall, the fish really stole the show for me!

Brilliant meals, as you would expect from a Michelin rated chef, but really generous portions you would not expect. good choice of five real ales from Robinson's. A nice touch was the offer of a free pint on the next visit to encourage people to revisit. it won't be long before you will not be able to move in this place; I would advise anyone thinking about going to get there now before word gets round. You might well see me there, slumped in a corner with a big grin and a pint!

We had a couple of lunches at this restaurant and were not disappointed. The portions were huge, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff was really friendly. The extensive menu offered a wide variety of choices, with options for one, two, or three courses. The staff was very helpful, accommodating my husband’s request for extra gravy and my own request for no potatoes with my Sunday dinner without any issues. The half chicken I ordered was enormous and cooked to perfection! We will definitely return and would recommend this charming village pub for anyone looking for a nice lunch. Ver carta

The portion sizes at the restaurant were colossal, and the food I ordered was outstanding. I had the steak and ale pie with thick-cut chips, and it was one of the most delightful meals I've ever enjoyed. I requested a side of coleslaw that wasn't on the menu, and the waiter kindly brought it to me at no charge. The portion sizes were fantastic. I usually never leave food on my plate, but the slice of cake I had was so large that I couldn't finish it, even though it was absolutely delicious. Overall, this was exactly what I needed for a lovely Saturday meal with my friend, and I will definitely order the same dish again and again.

Last night for dinner and when we were there, we thought why it was dead! when I said dead, there were more employees than customers. but we thought no was not here now. on our table and given menu, waitress came within 5 minutes, took order. waited no more than 10 minutes for the starter. That was brilliant. 10 minutes after the completion of the net came. the Steak Pie was amazing. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish our meal as we were too full. then it could not fit into a dessert. most people wouldn't complain about it, I know that but had organized a babysitter, and after the bill we realized we were out of the house for 90 minutes, so we went somewhere else. I was in the area for 2 nights and looked for somewhere good to eat, I found this place and what a find. I had the best gammon, chips, egg and mushy peas I've had anywhere, I went the second night and had it again it was that good. I saw the other food and it looked fantastic, listening to the ravings of the people eating it, it was as good as my gammon. The service is outstanding, friendly, fast and efficient and when someone had left a table it was cleared, sprayed/ cleaned with antibacterial spray and reset.
