"Our group of 4, all food enthusiasts with experience dining at Michelin star restaurants, recently visited Wentworth. My husband and I had dined there before and enjoyed the food, although the service was slow. We recommended it to our friends, but were disappointed with the overall experience this time. While the food was delicious, the atmosphere in the restaurant was lacking and the service was subpar. The staff seemed inexperienced and poorly trained, with the maitre d' also working as the bartender, leaving the dining room unattended. There was a lack of explanation regarding the food and the wine took multiple reminders before being served, arriving late and without being properly decanted. Overall, we were underwhelmed by our visit and unlikely to return, despite living nearby and frequenting Malton often."

Stopped at Malton on the way back from the coast today a friend had recommended The Talbot. We absolutely could not fault it from the COVID measures in place, the welcome, the thoroughly professional staff, the fabulous bar area then amazing food .....will definitely be back.

had the most fabulous break with my amazing friend who asked the question in the perfect environment. life partner for getting room 4, fantastic rooms stunning decorations set the scene. the personal could not do enough to ensure that our needs were met. eating was delicious, locally fresh. we will be coming back
