Amazing service and the staff are welcoming and polite even when dealing with awkward and problematic customers. Food was amazing as always

Called here for a lunch. Have visited before and was happy with food and service. Today 2 of the group ordered fish and chips. Fish was lovely but the chips were dry and inedible. Looked as though they had been left in an oven and completely dried out Brought this to the attention of the waitress who shrugged it off. No apology. Won't be going back

Was really looking forward to this as a birthday treat…… You don’t feel pampered ….. There is no table service. you had to order your own food and drinks at the bar …… The sea bass arrived a bit frazzled ….. The lamb chops were difficult to cut through and we had to ask for a steak knife …. Partially retrieved by the delicious chocolate brownie desert …..

Went on sat 29/7/23 for an anniversary meal out with the hubby. Food was fantastic as it always is whenever we go for food. Staff are always friendly and happy to help. They had a couple of big parties in so was told food might have a little delay but we didn’t wait long at all but was nice to be told in advance. All in all a lovely place to go and will definitely be back.

The staff member then went back to the kitchen and a different member of staff, who also worked in the kitchen, came to tell me that no one else had complained and that both steaks were from the same batch. When I asked why my steak was very thin, she told me that when steak is cooked 'well done', it shrinks. I have never before been served a well-done rump steak that resembled thin frying steak. She then begrudgingly offered to prepare the meal again or refund the meal. We opted for the refund as by this time my husband had finished his meal.

Been coming here for years as a couple and for family occasions but will now have to have a rethink after todays meal 30/6/23) on table 6. Both my wifes and my meal was burned . The Chef claimed the chips were burnt because of seasonal potatos being difficult to cook, however, this silly excuse did not appear to account for the burnt gammon steak or the pineapple which was free of juice and had the appearance and taste of a coaster. After complaining we were offered 2 cups of coffee or a sweet which we declined. Perhaps the owner who lives near to us may want to message me on 07419589980 with a better goodwill gesture.

I visited this restaurant on a busy Saturday evening. As a local resident, I have been a semi-regular customer and have previously enjoyed the food and found it to be good value for money. However, on my most recent visits, the food took over an hour to arrive. While I don't mind waiting when with family, a heads-up about kitchen delays would have been appreciated. It seemed like tables around us, who ordered after us, received their food before us. I ordered the cajun chicken kebab from the specials board, priced at £15.95. Went for Sunday lunch. My wife and I both have mobility problems and informed them of this at the time of booking. They said that they would make allowance for this. When we arrived we had to go up 3 steps to get to our seat. We were able to do this but they did not ask if we could do this. We were seated and waiting for someone to come take our order when we noticed a sign saying that orders must be placed at the bar. I made my way to the bar and had to negotiate around tables then down the 3 steps, then I had to pass by people in a narrow hall who were carrying their drinks.
