"We were greeted by Danny, and he talked us through today's special, which were Piri Piri Chicken, and Grilled Salmon; both served with chips and salad. Our third dish was cod and chips with gravy.We ordered two Americanos and a cup of tea. Danny listened carefully to our orders, and made some adjustments. The food arrived probably ten minutes, or so later. The chicken was excellent, and exceeded my expectations; the salmon was also well received. The cod and chips is always good.We paid at the end, and the bill was £37. We were given complimentary Elizabeth Shaw mints, for later.Well done, Dan, you're a credit to the business.Chris, Susan and Rose."

Food, service, friendly place. Highly recommend. Visited for a take away fish and chip supper. I think it caters for others as I know it does breakfast and is open all day

The restaurant is much nicer after a renovation but the food is still the same standard stuff. For take away this or cheap and cheerful this is alright. If you are looking for a cafe for brunch, breakfast or lunch better to try Gather. Ver carta

Been going to this place for over five years now watched it get better and better it’s a fish and chip shop and a good Cafe in the morning sit down is what you expect from a fish and chip shop and takeaway is even better the fish is magnificent keep on doing what you doing guys Well done

I have been visiting this fish and chip shop regularly for many years as a loyal customer. Up until recently it was known as The Fat Frier who consistently served wonderful fish and chips, so much so that I would recommend them to friends and family as being the best fish and chips you could buy. Quite an accolade from someone who has eaten fish and chips in numerous locations throughout Britain.
