excellent service by nick the waiter who asked the cook for my suppe heated. delicious dinner time at 2 places in the last 2 weeks. 3 of us had different meal times and everyone was fantastic. we'll be back soon.

my friend always wanted to try the food here, so I booked a table for valentine. we left before the last one. the service was bad. very long waiting times for food that was very poor quality. a very chewing steak and raw chips. will not go back

booked table thru app and arrived at the restaurant to be told no booking and would have to wait for over an hour for a table... Even when I showed them the app booking they did not offer an alternative... I had 2 young children so waiting for over an hour wasn’t possible... Really disappointing and not sure would use again

I have known the restaurant for over sixty years. It used to be a high-class eatery only used by the rich and those with important events to celebrate. For good reason, no doubt, it has moved down market and its weekend clientele is different from mid-week. But for whomsoever it caters, it should offer quality. Our starter a mess of hardly to be recognised scallops and dubiously described king prawns swimming in a yellowy substance was poor. The belly pork was over-cooked (in contrast to earlier in the week when it was excellent). The lamb was good and well-priced. Had we not chosen the awful starter and stuck to the coffee and mini-pud, we would have been well content. So get the chef to dr...
