"I booked a table for lunch and got a phone call at 10pm the evening before we were due to dine to say that the restaurant couldn’t accommodate us at the time selected. The boy I spoke to wasn’t apologetic nor did he explain why. All he said was that they were really busy. Very disappointed with the service I received. If you book to go, it may be a good idea to book another restaurant as a back up!"

A very good visit on a very busy day. Waiting staff were excellent and the food was good as always.

Overall fairly good, however Sunday Lunch price ranges from £10.50 £13.50 seems a little expensive for nothing that can be out classed elsewhere.

It was very easy to book and the table was ready when we arrived. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive and the service was speedy. The meals were good and excellent value for money.

Nice pub, good choice of food and drink. The first table was in a noisy area, we were offered another in a quiet area that turned out to be the old main entrance. No problem with this at all.

Again an excellent service provided from start to finish Sunday afternoon lunch was outstanding. Staff always welcoming and pleasant. A pleasure to go to and enjoy the view and excellent food.

The Fox House is one of the places we go to for lunches with family and friends. The food is good and the service was excellent on this occasion. We can pariticularly recommend The lamb shank and the fish and chips

Got there to find no opentable booking in my name, despite the email confirmations so was lucky to get table. Thought price too high for the small portion of roast beef we were served, and cheese board rather uninspiring.

We'd arranged to walk in the area with friends and so we decided to book lunch. Three of us had the duck special and the other the lamb shank. The duck was cooked to perfection and as always the meat fell off the bone on the lamb shank. It's a busy pub and quite rightly so. I look forward to our next visit.
